Can this year get any worse?!? It's difficult finding my holiday cheer this year. After my heart attack and stent procedure and the massive covid outbreak in my area, My Wonderful Family Thanksgiving dwindled to just my two daughters and grandkids, and I ended up banned from my own kitchen! Enough whining. I've really got a lot to be thankful for and I really want to celebrate Christmas, even though it will just not be in the same way.

Thanks Anita. The holiday season is a hard time for us without this being the second year without our daughter and then you add on the covid stuff it make it harder but I am going to make it as fun as I can make it. I am going to try and read some christmas books which should help.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 3889 comments The loss of a child is tough to take at anytime, especially at Christmas. We lost my mother-in-law in April. There will be an empty spot at the head of our Christmas table this year. This year has meant so much change, it's been really rough.

A bottle of red wine, mulling spices, a crock pot and a fire in the fireplace, oh and a good Christmas book.
