Just finished Marrow Thieves. Already counting down to the sequel in October!

I read Butcherbird by Māori author Cassie Hart for this, and it was excellent! Horror with magpies, I highly recommend it.
Split Tooth was amazing. Want to listen to it next. Did The Marrow Thieves this year too. Probably a couple others but that’s good enuf for now ;)
This prompt is exactly why I love the Read Harder Challenge. I picked The Marrow Thieves and thought it was fantastically heartbreaking. Prior to the challenge it would not have crossed my mind to seek out a SF novel by an Indigenous author and may have missed this gem.
Does poetry count as Genre? I'm considering reading Nature Poem for the poetry prompt, and the author is Indigenous/native american, and I'm wondering if I can double count it for this prompt as well.
