Dan | 255 comments Which werewolf book would be a good book for us to read as a group this Winter? Any thoughts? I'll run a poll in 5-7 days from now based on our nominations.

message 2: by Dan (new)

Dan | 255 comments I'll run the poll once we have at least three nominations from at least three people.

Zain How about Leader of the Pack: An Anthology

Silver Bullet by Mark Le Strange

Silver Bullet by Mark L'estrange looks like an excellent choice.

Less sure about Leader of the Pack? I mean, it looks cute, 354 pages of non-stop cute, but shouldn't we start with the first one in that trilogy? We can work our way up to the challenge of finding out which hunk Sophie chooses that way.

Jeff (gentlemanjeff) | 46 comments These are two different titles. Leaders of the Pack, the one Zain is referring to, is fantastic. Includes some great authors, lots of variation, and a few gems: Leaders of the Pack. I'm not inclined to read the "Tales of an Urban Werewolf" series at all. There's always Twilight if we wanna get into that kinda stuff.

Bestial nomination accepted, thank you. One more nomination from one more group member and I have the minimum of three to run a poll.

message 8: by Scott (new)

Scott Note: Bestial is the sequel to Ravenous.

message 9: by Dan (new)

Dan | 255 comments Okay. And I'll add The Nightwalker as my nomination. I'll prepare the poll.

message 10: by Zain (new)

Zain I read both Bestial and Ravenous just a few months ago. Bestial is nowhere as good as Ravenous.

Surprising since they're written by the same author.

message 12: by Scott (new)

Scott Good to hear, since I thought Bestial was awful.

message 13: by Zain (new)

Zain I’ve just finished Silver Bullit, and I must say... I loved it! It wasn’t what I expected, but it was a bit different from the werewolf mythos.

A great book. 😎

Believe me, Ravenous is a whole lot better.

I agree, but I did enjoy reading Ravenous, so naturally I thought I would enjoy Bestial. Every book does not need a sequel.
