I just finished this myself, Carol. I see you gave it five stars. My initial impression was 4* but it is staying with me and I keep reflecting on scenes� I’ll need to sit with it a while longer. Powerful writing.

Wasn’t that something? I read it with the Japanese Lit group and the discussion snd debate about the MIL was robust. :)
