Jane | 13 comments Dread Nation for any prompt other than POC/LGBTQ main character?

Man I was hoping it'd fit the "YA novel with a black main character that isn't about black pain" for you but with it being set just after the Civil War, I don't think there's any way it wouldn't include black pain.

Richard | 13 comments This has probably been the hardest list in years to wedge in random books that have been lying around or otherwise on my radar. I don't think I'm going to make it.

Julia | 165 comments Erika,

I think Dread Nation might work for that prompt #17. Yes, it's set about ten years after the Civil War, and the main characters are Black, but in this universe the Civil War stopped because the dead on the battlefields became zombies.

Reed (reedster6) | 10 comments Where would the book The Woman in Cabin 10 fit in any of the categories since it takes place on a cruise ship?

The only setting prompts this year are:
Read a realistic YA book not set in the U.S., UK, or Canada
Read a book set in the Midwest

I think the only place it could fit is "13. Read a book with a cover you don't like"
