I'll just be casually keeping tracking of the couple of challenges in this group, and maybe others, that I'm looking into this year. Can't wait to peruse y'alls goals this year :D

Progress: 5/32
Pulled number but still waiting for them from library: I'll Be the One and Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Now on: 25, Siren's Call

I chose to follow their 32 suggested prompts, picked out the books, and will be using number generator to work my way through it. I tried to match books from this list into other challenges, when applicable. It made for a fun tetris puzzle of book organizing ;)

Books Being Used:
1. Read the book that has been on your TBR list the longest. 1984 by George Orwell
2. Read a book you added to your TBR within the last year. I'll Be the One by Lyla Lee
3. Read the book with the most pages on your TBR or one that is over 500 pages. Far from the Tree: Parents, Children, and the Search for Identity by Andrew Solomon
4. Read the book with the least number of pages on your TBR or one that is under 100 pages. Friend Grief and Anger: When Your Friend Dies and No One Gives A Damn by Victoria Noe
5. Read a book that is published the year or decade you were born. After Delores by Sarah Schulman (May 1989 not to date myself wahhh)
6. Read the 20th book on any page of your TBR. Trans Teen Survival Guide by Owl Fisher
7. Read a book that has an average rating of 3.8 or higher. Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland
8. Read a book by one of your favorite authors. Toil & Trouble by Augusten Burroughs
9. Read a book that you added based on the review of another Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ user. Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas
11. Read a book with an animal or plant on the cover. Parrotfish by Ellen Wittlinger
12. Randomize your TBR and read the first book. Heavy: An American Memoir by Kiese Laymon
13. Read a book the contains the initials of your name (in any order) in the title or author name. The Long Journey Home: A Memoir by Margaret Robison Shockingly I only had ONE author in all my 900+ TBR list that had an author with the same first/last initials as mine and I don't even want to read this one so..we'll see haha!)
14. Look at the number of pages of books in your Want-To-Read folder. Read the book that is that same number. (e.g., if you have 20 pages of books in your Want-To-Read folder, read book number 20 from your list). American War by Omar El Akkad
16. Read the book with the most number of ratings (i.e., not the actual average rating, but the number of people who have rated it). 1984 by George Orwell (already fulfills book #1) not sure if I'll change this one or not!

18. Read the first book from your list that "sparks joy" as soon as you think about reading it. Heartstopper: Volume Three by Alice Oseman

20. Read a book that you own. A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow
21. Read a book that an IRL (in real life) friend, family member, or acquaintance has recommended to you. Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire recommended to me by my sister based on book 3 or 4 of the series having really wonderfully done queer visibility so starting at book 1 and working towards it!!
22. Read a book that you feel you "should" read. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo because it's one I just never stop hearing about and feels so hyped up that I need to just bite the bullet and go for it haha
23. Read a book you previously DNFed and still want to finish. Then We Came to the End by Joshua Ferris

25. Read a book that is from a genre or format you rarely read. Siren's Call by Jessica Cage (paranomal-fantasy)
26. Sort your TBR by cover. Read the first or last book. Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
27. Sort your TBR by title. Read a book from the middle page. Lakewood by Megan Giddings
28. Read a hyped, bestseller, or award-winning book. Know My Name by Chanel Miller
29. Read a book with a title that contains punctuation. The Royal Art of Poison: Filthy Palaces, Fatal Cosmetics, Deadly Medicine, and Murder Most Foul by Eleanor Herman
30. Read a book related to the yearly, quarterly, or monthly theme. NO BOOK CHOSEN YET
31. Read a book that is featured as a group or buddy read and was already on your TBR. Into the Water by Paula Hawkins
32. Read a book that is retelling or reimagining of a classic story or the classic itself. Cinderella Is Dead Kalynn Bayron

Finished Titles:
(view spoiler)

Using a word/words/phrase that manifests what you aspire for in 2021 and the spelling it out using book titles

My words this year are participate more. Like so many, I often put myself in the background of life and cheer on others or live vicariously through them. (Especially in 2020, whew!). This year, my goal is participate in life more. To remind myself I'm worthy of good myself and help support my community <3

I’m sorry this is super random and I came across this post while looking for my own corner, but this is an amazing goal for this year! I feel like I have been just so off from life and haven’t done much of anything for anyone. Using this as inspiration, I’ll try to actively be a part of different communities, and actually participate! Thank you for putting this feeling and resolution into words, and I truly hope you reach all of your goals this year! Happy reading :)

Oh gosh don't apologize, I'm so glad you decided to comment! That makes me happy to hear you feel inspired to try to be more active and participate! I admittedly felt a bit silly including my reasons for my word choices but now I'm extra glad. Participating has been so much harder for me than I ever thought it would be and I will be hoping we both make successful strides in our attempts this year! Happy reading new friend :)
