Rules - UNO 2021
General Questions
Only books STARTED after the challenge begins can count.
The challenge starts on Monday 1 Feb, 2021 at 9pm UTC
Books must be more than 100 pages in length.
If it is a Children's book or a graphic novel, we need to verify it is more than 25,000 words on
Your finished books need to be on your Uno shelf
AND marked as "read" for them to count.
Please make notes of how your book may count.
The more options we have the better!
(Letters used in UNO are Z, O, T, H, F, I, V, E, S, N, K, P and of course if another team member has read the book before. Please friend our team members!)
For coloured cards, the cover needs to be 50% or more of the colour.
You can ask us in this thread for our opinion, or use to get an idea. If in doubt, ask me or a co-captain as we can check it and/or take to the captains group for another opinion.
This is a social challenge, not a competitive one.
We'd love to get points, but the main aim of the game is to have fun, read lots and get to know each other :)

Well, you'll be tracking yourself! How about that?!
(and then me and two other co-caps will be following you, so... you know, win-win! :P)
You don't have to worry about this one!
I got this (hopefully... maybe... ummm... co-caaaaps!!)
ET Planning/Tracking SpreadsheetNow, THIS is your playground! Bookmark this baby because you will be needing this one a lot over the next three months!

WHAT DO I DO?!
I know! I know! Your excitement is palpable. I totally get it! :D
So, let's get started, shall we?
Couple of things:
1. You can read absolutely ANYTHING you want! The only request is you track every little thing that the book offers you! Names, locations - the works! The best way, of course, is ET Planning/Tracking Spreadsheet. You can start filling information as you come across it in the "February" (and later "March", and "April" folders). The reason for having all that information is that we can then move things around to complete our hands without waiting on someone to finish a certain book.
2. Color Cards: This is a fun one! We can have people claim certain color cards if they want, but irrespective of that, I would request you to note any cover color related information from your book that would fit the bill.Always better to have multiple books that may fit multiple options. Again, you don't have to read for a particular color, but you can if you so choose.

WHAT DO I DO NOW?
YAAY! Well done, ET-ians!
Now we make sure that we count that book.
Every book is precious and we do not want to miss tracking it.
So, three things:
1. Stop by here and make a quick post about the completed book with as much information you can provide. Here is an example how:
--------------------------------------------
Completion Post
Book: This Is Your Life, Harriet Chance! |
Author: Jonathan Evison
Pages: 296
Date: 01-Feb-2021
UNO Cards it fits:
0: StandaloneCover Color :
1: Character O - Osier, Terrance
2: Title T
3: Character H - Harriet Chance
4: Character F - Fitsimmons, Charlie
6: Character S - Skip
8: Author E
9: Character N - Nathan, Harriet
Skip: Character K - Kurt Pikins

-------------------------------------------
2. Hop over to your profile and make sure you have logged in that book in your respective UNO folder as "read".
This is important because at the end of the month, only books logged into the respective shelves can be counted. And these mods are pesky (shhh!), they like to sneak, I tell you! Oh, you'll see! :P
------------------------------------------
3. Take a minute to go to our and put in the relevant information of your next read.I mean, we can't stop at 1, or 2, or errm 6!

GET TO THE MEAT OF IT ALREADY! :P
Eeks! Sorry!
So, here are our FEBRUARY hands.

FEBRUARY MINI CHALLENGE
Back to the 80s!
We have given each team a popular book from the 1980s.
As a team, you need to try and read as many books that you can connect with your 1980s book as possible. The ways the books "connect" is completely open to interpretation.
Creativity is the key to the challenge, not rules.
For example; Team XYZ is assigned The Handmaid's Tale.
They read books by Canadian authors, sci-fi MPG, books with something red on the cover, dystopian books, books where a young female is in an arranged relationship with an older male, a book where two characters do something in secret etc.

So, I am Apoorv - supposedly the captain! *searches for his Cap cap* :P
I have been doing these UNO challenges for a while (except the last one, I believe!) .
I think I have played on a team with Vicki before, but this is a brand new team for the most part for me, and I'm mighty excited to make some new friends and learn about all the books you guys are reading.
I live in Boston, Massachusetts in The United States, and I see we are covering as many as FOUR continents amongst us - that makes me extremely giddy with joy! :D But, let's also make sure that we work out the time zones amongst us, especially with completion of books towards the end of the month, so that we don't miss anything.
I try and read almost everything (except maybe religious fiction/nonfiction), so its always an exciting aspect of this challenge for me to see all the plethora of books my teammates read.
So, as an icebreaker, how about, if you don't mind, each of you share your top 5 books that you read in 2020?!
Mine would be:
1. Pachinko | Min Jin Lee
2. This Is How It Always Is | Laurie Frankel
3. My Dark Vanessa | Kate Elizabeth Russell
4. When All Is Said | Anne Griffin
5. A Woman Is No Man | Etaf Rum
Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
I promise I'll answer all the easy ones, and make sure our wonderful co-captains, Tina and Jill, answer the difficult ones! :P
Super excited to start this one. YAAAY! :D

This thread looks amazing, Apoorv!! We are so lucky to have you as captain. You've set the bar high for us to expect fantastic organization, a ton of humor, and just good old fashioned fun! I am looking SO forward to this challenge with you as captain!
To all my teammates, I know none of you...yet, but I hope to get to know all of you. I know Apoorv from previous challenge(s). Can't remember how many but it's nice to reacquaint myself with him. :)
Pachinko and A Woman Is No Man, both 5 stars for me. I also read This Is How It Always Is and gave it 4 stars, so those were all really good books.
My favorite genres: historical fiction, mystery/thriller/psychological thriller, romance with a good plot, fantasy but not so much sci-fi. I mostly love a good book no matter the genre!
My favorites for 2020 are too hard to pick, but...here we go:
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover
The Wreckage of Us by Brittainy C. Cherry
A Big Little Life: A Memoir of a Joyful Dog Named Trixie by Dean Koontz
Where the Lost Wander by Amy Harmon
From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Sorry, I can't count! lol I would also add Pachinko
I am a mother of 5 (3 girls, 2 boys), grandmother of 21 (11 boys, 10 girls) and great grandmother of 5 (3 boys, 2 girls). I'm married to a wonderful man who is nurturing, kind, and supportive. I mean, every time I go to Florida to visit my siblings (2 sisters and a bro), he buys me a new bookshelf. lol Well, at least twice he did.
I am a retired English teacher...thank GOD! I would never survive this hybrid teaching my daughters do (2 teach) because I am not tech savvy! I got out just in time. I taught English for 25 years and yearbook for 18 or 19. I will always miss teaching as far as being with the kids, but I miss nothing else, especially all the red tape!
I look forward to meeting each of you! Let's have FUN!

This thread looks amazing, Apoorv!! We are so lucky to have you as captain. You've set the ..."
I have been trying to track our previous challenges together too.
But, I can't seem to come to an exact figure. I guess one day of captaining has already aged me. Oh well! :-O
Let's just say we've been playing together since we were kids. How about that?!
The point is we had fun... and hopefully this one is just as fun!
Also, is there a way you and your husband can adopt me?
Because gee golly, I can totally do with someone buying me a new bookshelf every time I go to Florida.
That is utterly adorable. Bless you guys!
Glad to have you here. WELCOME! :D
P.S. So stoked to know you liked Pachinko and A Woman is No Man. They just seared through me to reach the most delicate part of my heart, to just stay there. I have been meaning to get on with The Nightingale for a bit now, I guess we have a Reserve card already decided. Yaay! :D

I read pretty much anything but I like crime and am partial to historicals. I loved Wolf Hall Trilogy 3 Books Collection Set By Hilary Mantel, I've read the first two and The Mirror & the Light is waiting in my TBR pile. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine was a standout for me. Every few years I reread Anthony Powell's brilliant 12 novel series A Dance to the Music of Time.
You may see by my profile that I write romance and romantic suspense but I am strictly a reader here -- unless we're stuck for a book and one of mine fits! Hahaha
My original training was as a classical clarinet player. Now I've retired but teach a few students and play in a community orchestra which is lots of fun.
BTW I had a quick look at a couple of teammates, Danah and Jill's, read lists and I've found 2 Reverses on my TBR pile so am happy to kick off with those come Feb! The Ex and Slaughterhouse 5 I read that many years ago
and it's time for another read.
Looks as though we're in good hands with Apoorv, Tina and Jill leading us. Thank you!

Oh my gosh! This thread is like so damn exciting! And I think Apoorv is going to be an awesome captain.
I am totally new to this challenge. In fact it hasn't even been one year since I joined ŷ, so obviously I'm overexcited. And advance apologies for any stupid questions from my side :P
I am from India but I completed most of my education in Dubai. I love reading but for few years it took a slight back seat as I shifted all my focus into my exams.
My favorite genre is Mystery & Thrillers. But I also love reading YA, Romance, General Fiction and Graphic novels (sad that they are not considered here!). There are a few authors whom I love and whose books I never miss out on. But I do enjoy discovering new books and trying out new genre.
My top 5 reads of 2020 across various genre after much dilemma are:
Mystery & Thrillers : The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
General Fiction : A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
Romance : It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
Young Adult : A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
Women's Fiction : My Husband's Daughter by Emma Robinson
I don't know any of you yet but I am looking forward to know you all better. Now, I am off to make a list of books that I have on my shelf which can be read for the Feb challenge!
Happy Reading! Have fun!

2020 top reads
Educated by Tara Westover
The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu
Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly
Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham
Fate of the Fallen by Kel Kade
Like I said, this is my first and I might be asking a lot of questions until I get the hang of this. I am sporadically filling up a shelf for UNO to prepare. I hope I'm dong this correctly.
Well, off to work. So, pretty much switching internet tabs. LOL

It was a pleasant surprise to turn on my laptop and have all these notifications that UNO was happening! Nice to meet you all team! One of my favourite things about team challenges is being able to meet people all around the world from different walks of life and a totally different like of genres, or in some cases similar, to the genres I like.
This will be my third UNO challenge and so I stepped up to co-captain as I have the hang of it now ;) So to anyone who is doing UNO for the first time... I get it! It's a lot to wrap your mind around. It will take a while to figure out how and where to place books but we'll be there to help sort everything. :)
I'm from Australia, Victoria so often when UK and US are awake, I'm asleep or at work and miss out on fun. Ah well, at least I'll have Elizabeth to talk to :P
I've tried to expand my genres which I've been doing since my four year book hiatus (was studying full time). So, I'm trying to be open minded about what I read now. I've recently decided that I'll listen to one non-fiction audiobook and then one adult fiction and keep rotating. Then I'll read other genres on iBooks, Kindle, paperback, etc. Has anyone else developed a reading system like this or is it just reading what fits?
My top 5 for 2020 would be:
The Toll by Neal Shusterman
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
The Martian by Andy Weir (highly recommend as I like the humor)
Australian Code Breakers: Our top-secret war with the Kaiser's Reich by James Phelps
And either The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James OR Horrie the War Dog: The story of Australia's most famous dog by Roland Perry
I have another two questions for you all!
1. Have you watched E.T.? If not, will you watch it?
2. What is your favourite movie at the moment?

I do have a similar reading system like you. But I haven't tried audiobooks yet.
I haven't watched E.T., but as soon as I saw the team name, I had decided to definitely try and watch it by this year end And my favourite movie currently is 'Tenet' (since it's the last movie I watched😛)

*Adds another +1 in front of the 67354 reasons why he should read Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine soon* :P
Hello, from across the globe! Just because our timezones may not match, don't feel obligated to not ask a question when one arises, Elisabeth. I'm quite literally a GoodReads addict, so I am on here constantly at all times. Haha!
…and a classical Clarinet player! I'm massively impressed. Love the Clarinet, and I can imagine how wonderful playing the instrument would be. Thank you for the world melodious and welcome! :D

Oh my gosh! This thread is like so damn exciting! And I think Apoorv is going to be an awesome captain.
I am totally new to this challenge. In fact it hasn't even been one year si..."
I'm so thrilled, I tell you, to have another fellow Indian on the same team. I'm almost always the only Indian (and the only male) in these group challenges - so its refreshing to see familiarity.
and I LOVE A Man Called Ove to bits!! That book! Uff!
I'm still collecting the pieces of my broken heart.
Super excited that you are overexcited. We are all excited. YAAAAAY!!

Guten morgen, Danah! Wie gehts? Bin froh, dich zu haben.
So glad to hear that the local book club is helping. I love book clubs too - it gives such a nice opportunity to read books from different genres, authors, parts of the world etc.
Are things online/over Zoom or do you guys actually get to meet and discuss the books in person?
I literally have Lilac Girls two feet away from me right now, staring at me to pick it up. This is such a major incentive. Thank you! :D
And don't hesitate to ask any questions you have.
Just a quick reminder to actually tag your books in your UNO shelf as "read" as and when you finish them. Sometimes that can get missed as we move on to the next book. So, just something to keep in mind.
Welcome! Hope you have fun! :D

What?
Hold on! Is that a thing?

So I'm Laura, I live in Belgium with my boyfriend and our two cats, one of whom is named Scarlett after one of my favourite books, Gone with the Wind. (I am, obviously, aware of the issues this book has but I still love the story)
I am a teacher, I teach English and French to kids who are between 11 and 14 years old. It's fun, but not right now, because schools are open here but we have to wear masks all the time and also the windows have to be open all the time so it's freezing. I do love my job though.
I have seen E.T. a couple of times and I like it a lot, I also LOVED the attraction in Universal when we were in Florida last year.
My favourite movie is probably the Princess and the Frog - I am a huge Disney and Harry Potter fan. However I'm terrible at picking favourites which leads me to my sort-of-top 5 from last year:
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith (aka J.K. Rowling)
Shanghai Girls by Lisa See
Early Riser by Jasper Fforde - bought on a whim when I was in London and loved it!
Us Against You by Fredrick Backman
Paddington Helps Out by Michael Bond
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig - technically I read this in 2021 but I loved it so so much I had to add it to this list!
But if you asked me again in a week I might pick different ones entirely :D in your favourite lists I can see a lot of books have read and enjoyed or I want to read so that's good. I have read the Nightingale and I liked it, but didn't love it; Pachinko is on my list for this year.
I read a lot of different genres, my favourites however seem to be historical fiction and fantasy. But I'll read anything as long as it's not religious. I also read children's books and I sometimes read non fiction but only if it really interests me.
I have already made a (pretty ambitious) list of books I want to read this year so I'm hoping they'll fit the cards :) I read about 70-80 books a year, but during school vacations I read about 4 times as fast as during the year so we'll see how it goes.
Also, I was going to read these two in January:

but then I joined this challenge so I decided to save them for our coloured cards, no idea if they will match the criteria. ETA: I think Eragon will fit for the Blue 6 card because of the character called Saphira! However the cover for the Serpentine has less green than I thought so I don't think it's going to work)
I am not 100% sure about how it all works so questions:
- the ET planning/tracking spreadsheet, are we meant to make a copy for ourselves and then share the information or how do we use it?
- we don't ever fill anything in in the other one, right, only the (co-)captains?
- are the 15 hands that are currently in the spreadsheet all for February?
- just to make sure I understand the cards: if I were to read Pachinko for example, we could use it for a Draw 2 card, then it would fulfil the criteria of a Reverse card and a Skip card; yes or no?
I also feel like I'll never be able to remember the criteria for all the cards so I have the rules open in a different tab :D
Anyway, it's nice to meet you all and I hope to get to know you better. I usually don't really use my computer on Mondays and Tuesdays because those are my busiest days at school, so you'll probably hear from me each week between Wednesday and Sunday! Yay for extra procrastination! Now I'm off to make next week's lesson plans.

It was a pleasant surprise to turn on my laptop and have all these notifications that UNO was happening! Nice to meet you all team! One of my favourite thin..."
Alright, peeps! Tina is here.
We are in safe hands. I'm off to a vacation on the seas! :P
Hello, to the wonderful person who signed up to clean up the mess I make while I trundle my way into being a captain. :P Sorry in advance. :P
I love your reading system by the way. Very ingenious.
I try to not read two back-to-back books of the same genre, because I've realized I tend to be a little more critical of the one that follows. So, I've started to scatter the genres a little apart, so I can be unbiased in my reading/rating.
LOVE The Martian by the way. That humor is crackling!
Have seen E.T., but I'm actually planning on seeing all the movies that have gotten a team name here, just to get in the spirit of the challenge. Should be fun! :)
Of the movies that I have watched recently, I loved One Night in Miami... which was released last week. I love wordy movies with characters just sit and talk and we get to unfold their personalities, and this was right up that alley.

So I'm Laura, I live in Belgium with my boyfriend and our two cats, one of ..."
We have TWO English teachers in the house!
*goes searching for his dictionary to use words to sound smart*
I am always a happy baby when I see Fredrik Bachman in anyone's favourite list. I adore that man's writing style - just finished Anxious People earlier this month and I blown to smithereens. What a gifted author!
Laura, if you like Historical Fiction, then I can't recommend Pachinko enough! I really hope you love it because it is so wonderful and satisfied by historical fiction hunger so deliciously.
Also, Eragon is 95% blue, so it beautifully fits into that Blue 6 slot. Great find! You can absolutely keep it to be read during the challenge, but its still a LOOONG 10 days away, so I can totally understand if you gobble it before that. :)
I am going to a separate post after this to answer your questions, so that it doesn't get lost in my rambling here, if someone else also is wondering about the same stuff.
So, WELCOME! :D Hope you have a memorable first team challenge! :)

Some of the questions that were brought up over the last day. Thank you for bringing your concerns up. Its always better to ask than assume. And it helps all of us. So, yaaay, greater good! :D
The ET planning/tracking spreadsheet, are we meant to make a copy for ourselves and then share the information or how do we use it?No. Don't make a copy to track if possible. Then we would just end up having too many spreadsheets, and then I will just end up dumping more work on the co-caps! (I mean, duh!).
We don't want to trouble them (just yet!).
But, on a serious note, only the ET Planning/Tracking Spreadsheet will suffice. We can all work on it simultaneously. So, whatever you decide to read, start putting in all the relevant information and then add on a ''read date' there once you are done with that before you move to the next.
I have added all of our names there so that we all have atleast a space of 5 books to start with and no one encroaches on other's spaces. Keep adding rows after you are done with that. All the formatting on the spreadsheet is simple, so you won't break anything or it can be easily fixed.
I just added one of my anticipated books there just to give you an idea. As I start reading it, I might ending up finding characters whose names work for other letters and then I will come back and update that row.
We don't ever fill anything in in the other one, right, only the (co-)captains?Yes. See! One less headache for you guys. More work for the co-caps! :P (They are going to hate me at the end of this :P)
Are the 15 hands that are currently in the spreadsheet all for February?Good question. Yes. All those 15 hands are only for February. We will get a new set every month.
The goal is to complete all the 15 hands before the end of the month amongst the 9 of us. WE GOT THIS! :D
Just to make sure I understand the cards: if I were to read Pachinko for example, we could use it for a Draw 2 card, then it would fulfil the criteria of a Reverse card and a Skip card; yes or no?In theory, yes. But that depends on how our hands are dealt.
So, Pachinko will definitely work for a Reverse (since a couple of us have read it) and Skip (Title P) and a bunch of other numbers based on the first and last names of the characters and locations.
Draw 2 only applies for cards within a hand and not the overall deck.
If I were you, I would not worry about Draw 2s. It really is more about fitting that book in a particular hand than actually reading the book. The caps can work on all that maneuvering. :)
Do you know if NetGalley books that aren't currently published can be counted for UNO?Yes. The only requirement is that the book needs to have been logged in onto GoodReads, because that is what we will be going off of. So, as long as the book is on GoodReads, you are golden! :D

Also, for me it's English as a foreign language, so don't be too intimidated ;) the hardest thing I have to teach is the past simple tense. I would NOT enjoy being an English teacher at a much higher level because even though reading is, basically, my life, I don't really enjoy 1. classic novels and 2. analysing books. I read for enjoyment. I really admire people who take notes in their books and stuff, I'm not like that at all.
Seeing Eleanor Oliphant mentioned several times so far, I have to add another +1; it's a really amazing book and I loved it.
Thank you for the spreadsheet example - I have already added Eragon because I will definitely wait to read it until February starts! Although I wish the challenge started tomorrow because I'm just.SO.EXCITED!
Anyway I made a shelf for my 2021 TBR books and there's 58 books on it (for now...) so I'll find another one to tide me over for sure. I've just started reading MaddAddam so that might take me the next of this week, at least.
Reading-wise, this will be a very interesting and exciting year because I also just got a subscription to a book box! Can't wait to see what that brings me.

I am practically an owl, so I'll be around for the most part. :P
Plus we have Tina and Jill who know everything. So, we're gooooood. :)
Quick follow-up on the details on the spreadsheet - as far as possible, do write in the names of the characters, because chances are they are not mentioned in the GoodReads description and/or in the metadata and it would tough to trace them back.
You can refer to my example of a completion post in message 9 at the top of the page.

Sorry I'm a little late to the game, I wasn't getting any notifications from this (will have to check my settings) so was unaware I was added to a team! Thanks Apoorv for messaging me and giving me a nudge :)
So I am totally new to this UNO challenge and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all the rules!! I will probably need a lot of support on getting my head around it all.
I live in London, UK. I studied fashion but work for a rail construction company now. I used to be a bookworm as a child, but lost motivation for it as I grew older, however in the last couple of years I have totally fell back in love with reading and it feels great! So I'm really looking forward to this, and it will be nice to connect with you all too.
My top 5 books of 2020 would be (in no order!!!)
The Binding - Bridget Collins
Girl, Woman, Other - Bernardine Evaristo
Educated - Tara Westover
Ask Again, Yes - Mary Beth Keane
This is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor - Adam Kay
And I also have to say that I finished The Heart's Invisible Furies by John Boyne last week and it is now one of my favourite books!
Looking forward to starting!
xx

Welcome, Paris! :D
Super glad that you made it here.
I can understand that things might get overwhelming. If it may help, I tried adding some relevant pointers in the first few messages on this thread. Do check them if you can, so that you'll have a brief idea of what is coming your way.
If you still have questions, feel absolutely free to type them out there. We will all help each other out. (See, how I'm spreading my work first to the co-caps, and now to everyone else. Smart! :P)
Also, I need to read Girl, Woman, Other now. Love that its on your list. How many books do I want to gobble down at a time?! I wish I had 6 heads and 38 hands. Alas!
Anyway, you guys have 3 months to listen to my woes! Will let you all marinate first. LOL!
In the meanwhile, Paris, look around. Here to answer any questions! :)

Everyone else, do take a peek and see if I have got yours right.
If not, let me know! :)

Oh! That Planning sheet is much clearer now. And I am so glad that NetGalley reads are allowed to be considered.
Man! 10 days seems so loooonnng.

I can absolutely relate to that!

here is my uno shelf - uno-2021
:D

I do have a similar reading system like you. But I haven't tried audiobooks yet.
I haven't watched E.T., but as soon as I saw the team name, I had decided to definitely try and watch i..."
It's nice to know I'm not the only one :P
Let us know if you watch it during UNO. I'd love to share my thoughts especially on a very young Drew Barrymore (so cute).
I loved Tenet! My partner and I went a bit crazy after trying to understand it. We watched a few Youtube vids that were analyzing it lol

- I love the briefs about yourselves especially when you mention your pets! I have a rabbit named Athena (cheeky, fiesty and loves a good treat) and a french bulldog that my family shares who is named Jessie (also cheeky and loves a good treat). I have also seemed to have adopted some wild spotted doves who also love treats
- Thank you all for your top 5 2020 books! Hopefully the team will read one of yours and share their thoughts on it
I definitely agree that Pachinko and The Nightingale are good reads. I was pleasantly surprised with Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine

Hmm... anything that isn't a blue, yellow, green or red cover?! Haha.
Do you have any books under the word count or any books you haven't finished reading yet?
Sometimes I don't read much before a team challenge starts and try and get things done beforehand, so that when it starts, I have more time to read and be in the challenge 😆

My filler book till Feb 1 is When the Ship Hits the Fan. It's anecdotes from an Australian Ship's Master ranging from the hilarious to the bizarre taken from his long life at sea. It wouldn't work for UNO but does fill gaps in my other challenges :)
Btw I've read just about all Michael Connelly's books so anyone who likes him can do an easy Reverse if you check my Read shelf.

My filler book till F..."
I love Michael Connelly's books too! I am yet to read 'Dark Sacred Night', so that's perfect for Reverse.

Elisabeth, I completely agree with you! That series is amazing. Unfortunately, I have been able to watch only Season 1. I really do watch to watch the other seasons. I did read somewhere that Season 7 will be out sometime this year.

I was wondering about non-fiction books and how this works in terms of 'characters' & 'locations'
Especially books which have different case studies etc mentioned, would any location stated in the book count towards a 'location'? And would any person named in the book count as a 'character?'
On another note - I couldn't stop myself from starting to read Grown Ups by Marian Keyes to fill the gap until 1st Feb! It might of been a good one for the challenge as it has lots of different characters, could be an idea for a future reverse if anyone fancies it!
Thanks,
Paris

With non-fiction, we can use the title and author/s. Not setting :( So a person in a book won't count for character. It's why I do most non-fiction reading outside team challenges.
That sounds like a lovely book Paris! How are you liking it so far?

Haha not sure Vanessa. The weekend has begun for me which sometimes becomes as busy as my work week.
What does everyone have planned for this weekend? It's summer in Australia here so I'm heading off to the beach as it's a long weekend here.

Beach time! That's awesome!
My weekends are filled with sleeping and hunting for books to read during the week😎 Of recent I have developed an interest in cooking. So I have been looking up new recipes in YouTube , that's my new hobby 😃
