Hello fellow bibliophiles and welcome to the Ultimate Popsugar Reading Challenge.

If you've found us, you've likely already discovered the Popsugar Reading Challenge on that website. We got started in 2015 and had so much fun we just kept going.

Here are a few tips and suggestions about how to get the most out of the group.

1. Drop in to introduce yourself at the Welcome Members thread.

2. Share your progress with us in our Weekly check-in. Posted every Thursday, it’s a great place to post what you've read for the week and which prompts those books fulfilled. This is also the place to find out about all the happenings in the group. Look for the "Admin note" in bold print in the first message each week!

4. Look for inspiration (and post your own) in the 2021 Challenge prompts folder. Here you'll find a discussion thread for every prompt. Go here for Regular challenge prompts and here for Advanced challenge prompts

5. Post your 2021 reading list - Hint: Remember the number of your post. You'll go back and edit your original post to mark off your progress. You can bookmark your post in this thread, from the browser, by clicking on the date of your post, and then bookmarking the page that pops up.

6. Join the monthly read-a-long - Each month we have a different monthly prompt. We also vote quarterly on a monthly read for that prompt. You are welcome to read the chosen book, a different book for that prompt or completely do your own thing! This is not a required activity so if the books selected don’t interest you that’s ok!

7. Start or join a buddy read in the Book Discussions folder.

8. Talk about any special reading you're doing in the YA genre, or from BIPOC authors, or for a Cultural Appreciation Month. Posts will show up in the 2021 Challenge - General folder.

9. If you have questions, check the FAQs post. If you don't see it there, bring it up in the Questions? post.

We have a great group here. We hope you find something that keeps you interested in hanging out. Feel free to message me if you have questions or post your question in the appropriate thread. Everyone is great about jumping in and helping new members.

Welcome!
