message 5: by Tris (new)

Tris | 74 comments same😂 I have only a few and they are all boarders. So, now that my school has reopened for boarders they can't talk to me since they're not allowed to keep phones.

Tris | 74 comments It is🥺 But I have you guys on GR and my fictional friends😄

message 8: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte | 20 comments Our school is in two groups so group one goes today and group two goes tmrw and all my friends are in group one lol

message 9: by Tris (new)

Tris | 74 comments And you're in group two? That must feel really bad. I understand that feeling. I'm the only one from my friend circle in IP class so whenever I miss a class, I have no one to take notes from. Well now it's the same for all the other classes as well since everyone's gone to their hostels.

message 10: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte | 20 comments It’s so funny that no one in my friend group is in my group like WHY?

Tris | 74 comments Charlotte wrote: "Our school is in two groups so group one goes today and group two goes tmrw and all my friends are in group one lol"

But that's actually a good way to take classes you know. My school should do the same for hostelers and non hostelers. But instead all the day scholars have half day classes on zoom at the same time the teachers are taking the physical class for boarders who have full day classes. So, we don't just miss half the classes for the day but also all the practicals.

message 17: by Rashi (new)

Rashi Malik | 96 comments We can opt to either go to school or attend online. Most students are going to school. The teachers don't pay much attention to the online students. TBH going to school has it's own perks like meeting friends who don't live close by after such a long time. and there's no fun in online classes because the best things about school are annoying techers, bunking, calling each other names and substitution classes

Carolyn Not to change the subject... but I just read the most romantic thing ever... "they were frequently to be seen in the early days of their romance meeting surreptitiously in bookshops. Later, after their marriage, they would while away afternoons reading together in cafés and restaurants, or, when the weather was suitable, on the balcony."

Just thought I'd share because it is probably the most beautiful thing I've ever read.

@Carolyn McEwen that quote is really good. We hardly find lovers bonding over their love for books. Tbh, I would totally date someone if they met me surreptitiously in bookstores😂

message 25: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn @Sylvia It is from "Exit West" by Moshin Hamid. I'm reading it for a class lol

I really want to watch that, but I haven't read all the books yet, just the first one. And I don't want spoilers, so I'll have to wait for the show till I read the books...

Can we read Six of Crows after reading the first Shadow and Bone book? I've read the first book, but I don't wish to continue that trilogy, and I've heard that SoC is a lot better. So, can I read that duology? Would I be able to understand it?

BTW, do you guys like the new format for the book display page?

I think it's okay, but I'm quite comfortable with this one, so I don't want it to change XD

message 37: by Leena (new)

Leena (leena23) I’ve only watched episode 1 so far, but I loved it! You can definitely switch to SoC!

What do you guys think?
