MG Literature is the "in–betweener" of Children's Lit and YA Lit. MG Lit is more for middle school aged children, which is around 6th�9th grade, or 10�13 years of age.
MG Lit also consists of characters who are middle school aged.
In the case of a book or series that crosses genre lines, sort it with the higher bracket. For example, the Harry Potter series can be both MG and YA. It should be sorted under the YA folder.
