This is where you will come, to ask for recommendations!
How is it going to work?

➡️ First and foremost, this challenge will only work with your TBR shelf on GR which is the "Want to Read" shelf. This will make the challenge easy to track so if you have unread books on other shelves, do shift those to your "Want to Read" Shelf, prior to the start of challenge.
➡️ If you are wondering then yes, you will have to visit each other's profiles and basically go to the "Want to Read" shelf to choose a book for them, except for people with private profiles. It will work differently with them which is explained at the end.
➡️ You have to put a recommendation request in this thread for someone to recommend you a book. The request can be specific about the recommendation, regarding genre/color/trope except authors.
➡️You can request 2 times in a week, starting March 7 . Also, put the number of the request(it's explained at the end).
➡️ For one recommendation request made by a person, only two persons can respond, which means before you recommend a book to someone make sure that it has not been previously responded to.
➡️ You can only recommend one book per recommendation request. So this means, that in a week you get total 4 recommendations. If you get less than 4 recommendations by the end of the week, Mods will recommend you.
➡️ It's not necessary to read each book recommended. Also, you can read any book recommended at any time during the challenge.
➡️ How to put a recommendation request?
Rec Req1: *whatever it is*
Rec Req2: *whatever it is*
This comprises one week. Then, next time you put a request you give it number 3 and so on.
➡️How to respond to a recommendation request?
Rec Req(with number):*Book name with link*
Recommended to: *Name of the person*
➡️ If you don't ask for a recommendation in a week or miss it, you will be allowed to ask the next week.
➡️This thread is only for recs so try to keep to it clutter free. There will be different threads for other purposes.

How will this work for people with private profiles?
➡️ Firstly, if your profile is private then the Mods won't be able to keep a track of your TBR shelf.
So, in the beginning of the challenge you will have to put the names of the books here and those will be considered as your TBR. Now, as the number of the books may be large so what you can do is, that you put a number of books at the beginning of each month,i.e, on March 7, April 7, May 7. All the books you add till May 7 will be considered.

➡️ All other rules remain same.


These rules have been made keeping in mind that if someone asks for many recommendations, they get many options as books and that just spoils the fun! Or the fact that if you give many recs, again many options!

I know these are many points but these are important so it's necessary that you go through each one and if you have any questions, do ask here before the challenge begins.
