Elisa_Bookaholic (book-queen) Have you ever judged a book by a cover? Or maybe by friends reviews? Or do you always read the description? Are any of these not good things you wouldn't do? Discuss below!

I have definitely judged a book by it's cover, but I always read the blurb too, so I think it's synonymous, if I like the blurb enough, I don't think about the cover but If I don't like the blurb, I skip the book irrespective of the cover..

Nice choice of words to express the same thoughts I had... lol

Austin George | 471 comments Hehe... Even font size and style plays a minor role. I usually get put off by tiny prints. I want to finish the pages fast. But ultimately the burb is the deal breaker for me.

That's nice, :-)

Erica | 1309 comments I definitely get drawn in by the cover to read the description. However I will read a book with a great title without much concern for the blurb. :)

Basically I pick up a book if the cover looks good, and then I read the blurb. It the blurb is good, I pick it up. But if the blurb is not of interest, and I will put it back So the blurb basically confirms if I should get it lol.

This is exactly what I do. I am almost always attracted by the cover first, title second, and then the description needs to seal the deal!!

June | 104 comments I know they say "Don judge a book by it's cover" but honestly, everyone, at least once in our lives we've done that. But mostly I read books by reading their descriptions.

Unknown Reader | 180 comments Description is obviously more important but a book cover is what catches the eye first. So, book cover shouldn’t be underestimated.

If I'm at the bookstore picking out books for myself, yes, but I also read the description, too.

Juj | 11 comments For me I start with the title, if that doesn't sound interesting I don't even look at the cover. Then if the cover looks interesting to me I'll read the description to decide
