Hey everyone! So, our great Mod Navya brought this idea of Review Contests to the group and here we are, hosting our first Review Contest in this group!! Excited, are you? Well, although this is a contest, it's meant to be fun, and our mutual goal is to encourage everyone, to write reviews and improve their skill of reviewing.

How it's going to be done?

🔹We will select a common book to be reviewed in the contest. This will be done through suggestions/polls.
🔹Each member who participates will be allotted a unique number, to avoid confusion regarding similar names.
🔹The participant will have to review the book in one week. This however, will also depend on the length of the book and participant's reading pace.
🔹The submitted reviews will be judged by the Mods and each member of the group, through a poll. There will be a scoring criteria too.
🔹There can be up to 3 winners, depending upon the number of participants, and there will be exciting awards for the winners.
🔹We'll also have a discussion thread for the book chosen in the contest, and a thread for tips and ideas, which will be open to everyone, the Mods, members and the participants ofc.

So, I guess this sums up the idea of Review Contest!

Hey everyone! So, according to the poll result, Six of Crows has been chosen for this first review contest!

1.This contest starts on 15th April'21 and closes on 30th April'21.
2.The participant can review the book in whatever format they prefer, but it should not be less than 500 words.
3.The results of this contest will be decided through a group poll, which includes everyone in the group. Participants will be allowed to vote but, not their own review. This will be ensured by the Mods.
5. A separate thread will be created where, members and participants can discuss about the contest, their progress, participants can share their review and ask for tips/leave tips, etc. The participants can also take members' opinions regarding the review format etc.

Here you can leave your questions regarding the contest. The Mods will resolve the queries asap!

Recently, we have seen that many people back out after signing up, so only sign up if you are sure you'll be able to participate. It becomes tedious for us to keep ascertaining who's participating and who's not. We understand if you have a valid reason for backing out but just because you decide someday you can't review the book, that's not acceptable. Sometimes we only have 2 participants for one book, and if one backs out, there isn't any contest left.
So, if you are signing up, ascertain for yourselves that you can submit the review on time. If any participant backs out due to invalid reasons, they'll be barred from future contests.

Sign ups for this contest end on 1st June. If someone isn't sure, kindly don't participate and back out before 1st June. After that we'll expect you to submit your review.

Hey Rushali.. I have read the description but still am empty of anything. I guess I would have to pass for this month.. and come back in June cuz I don't have time to read any of these books anymore much less review them. All I gotta do is read a book/s (of my choice) from the given monthly options, review them.. send to mods or in personal log and later it would be ranked. Right?

Hey Mia! So, you review the books after reading them and then we put up a document where we ask you to copy and paste it (Check this:/topic/show/... )until the deadline after which through a group poll, we decide the winner.

Eh.. I am so sorry I misread the things earlier. I would like to sign up for book The Book Thief for June Reviewing Content. But please clear me on the following things..
�� Can I read the book anytime within June?
�� What's the last date to submit review or is it announced later?
�� What does it mean “book must be reviewed within 15 days��? 15 days counting from where?

It doesn't matter when you read the book, it's ok even if you read the book in May but you just need to share the review on time. We hadn't decided the date but it will be sometime in June. So like, if it starts 5th June them you'll be asked to submit the review by 20th.
