This has been on my TBR list for a while, and I finally downloaded the audio. I usually try to do shorter books on audio, and at 7 hours, this was a good choice. It was also a good choice for walking and sitting by the pool! The story revolves around twins who suffer from spointaneous combustion: they burst into flames when they are angry or anxious. They spend a good deal of timne in the pool to stay cool and flame free.
Lillian and Madison are old friends from their days at an elite school. Lillian left school and her life has dead-ended in the attic of her mother's house. Madison is married to a rich senator with bigger aspirations. Madison asks Lillian to take care of the twins, who are her stepchildren. Despitre having no child care experience, she agrees and then has to figure out how to keep the kids from "catching." Some of the strategies and situations are kinda humorous. But underneath it all are two children who want to belong to a family and be loved. And maybe Lillian does too. The book seems light and fluffy but there is much to ponder. Quirky and thought-provoking, what a great combo!
