When I was in 7th grade, my school did the play of this. At that time it was called "10 Little Indians" which isn't all that PC either. It wasn't until I was an adult that I learned of the original title. I was not in the play my school did but I was in the audience. I remember thinking how cool it was. I'm terrible at figuring out mysteries so when I read the book, I had no idea who dunnit.

I honestly never noticed but I have seen discussion about the use of it, in that book.

It's crazy just how well Christie does this. Over and over and over!

The original movie is really good too.

I did start it, but there were too many characters for me to keep straight, so I quit. And then I kept forgetting to come over here and tell you. So sorry. Maybe next time?

It was hard to keep track of the characters at first but eventually I was able to. It was easier as they died.
The story had me constantly guessing who the murderer was, so much so that at the end of the first epilogue I was kind of mad because nothing was answered. Then I read the 2nd epilogue which explained it all.
The reveal was kind of cool I guess. It wasn’t what I expected. Halfway through I thought the butler had a twin but I was wrong.
The whodunnit story is cliched today but putting it into the context of when this was originally released I could see how popular it was.
Ultimately it was a good intro to Christie for me. I might read more down the line. It was a fun, quick read. Glad I read it and I wouldn’t have if it weren’t for this group read.
Cheers!
