Amelia Harrell (ameliaharrell) | 114 comments Is it July 1 already? Very excited to start this.

Nick Iuppa | 4272 comments Not sure I can read two books at the same time, especially when one is over a thousand pages long... but I'll give it a try.

Derrick | 957 comments I just read this back in May. I'll be following along with the discussion.

chasingholden (chasingholden_) Very excited to start this. It's been on my list for far too long and I guess the time has finally come. look forward to discussing!

Kandice | 4384 comments I actually own an original paperback of this book with the original, non-PC title, and a very non-PC cover!

Amelia Harrell (ameliaharrell) | 114 comments Does anyone else find the use of exclamation points a little jarring so far?

Erin (ems84) | 2636 comments One of Christie's best!

When I was in 7th grade, my school did the play of this. At that time it was called "10 Little Indians" which isn't all that PC either. It wasn't until I was an adult that I learned of the original title. I was not in the play my school did but I was in the audience. I remember thinking how cool it was. I'm terrible at figuring out mysteries so when I read the book, I had no idea who dunnit.

I honestly never noticed but I have seen discussion about the use of it, in that book.

Tek | 97 comments I loved this book.

Emilie | 13 comments This was a book that literally had me guessing the entire time. I love authors that are able to do that. This book is amazing.

It's crazy just how well Christie does this. Over and over and over!

The original movie is really good too.

Kateblue I apologize for not reading this with all of you. And after I commented that I had heard it was her best book ever!

I did start it, but there were too many characters for me to keep straight, so I quit. And then I kept forgetting to come over here and tell you. So sorry. Maybe next time?

Mark (marke_) | 103 comments I finished this last night. It was a last minute purchase from the bookstore for me. Hadn’t read any Christie before but I have a friend who has read most of her work so this came recommended.

It was hard to keep track of the characters at first but eventually I was able to. It was easier as they died.

The story had me constantly guessing who the murderer was, so much so that at the end of the first epilogue I was kind of mad because nothing was answered. Then I read the 2nd epilogue which explained it all.

The reveal was kind of cool I guess. It wasn’t what I expected. Halfway through I thought the butler had a twin but I was wrong.

The whodunnit story is cliched today but putting it into the context of when this was originally released I could see how popular it was.

Ultimately it was a good intro to Christie for me. I might read more down the line. It was a fun, quick read. Glad I read it and I wouldn’t have if it weren’t for this group read.

Cheers!
