What I provide:
- general reactions and impressions
- chapter wise notes and feedback
- notes on pacing and interest level at different points in the book
- an overall analysis based on characters, character relationships, plot, pacing, dialogue and world building, etc. (depending on type of novels)
My feedback is active and as I am reading the book I pose various questions to myself when providing you with these comments such as: Am I invested in the story? Can I predict what will happen next? Is there any character/event which is boring me? and so on.

I'm seeking professional beta readers for my cozy mystery with paranormal and fantasy elements.
This novel is the first in the series and is currently 91,568 words. This is too high for the genre but I'm having trouble cutting down the word count and would like some beta readers to tell me what works and what doesn't as well as point out any plot holes, or boring parts.
Blurb:
When Clementine (Clem) Cooper’s long lost Aunt Maple is murdered in the quaint New England town of Misty Cove, Clem is called upon to leave her unsatisfying life behind in DC to organize the funeral.
Staying in the house where the murder took place is not for the faint of heart, but Clem isn’t afraid of much. Unfortunately, when the local police captain, and Aunt Maple’s boyfriend, is arrested for her murder, it becomes clear that Aunt Maple’s spirit is not going to sit by and let it happen. But Clem doesn’t need to be haunted by Maple to be convinced. Her intuition, and her investigative skills tell her that the captain is innocent and Clem is the only one who can prove it.
While Clem has never believed in ghosts, it seems that Aunt Maple wasn’t just any middle-aged woman. She was a gypsy, and a sorcerer to boot. As much as Clem refuses to believe in magic, she can’t help feeling that magic is the only way to find Aunt Maple's killer.
Please let me know if you are interested.
