Dragobreak Now, let me get into a rant about how horrible disney Star Wars is.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

message 19: by Dragobreak (new)

Dragobreak FIRST: CHARACTER INVOLVEMENT. JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy and Ryan I-forgot-his-lastname try so hard to include characters like Luke, Leia, Lando, Chewie and Han and making them important so fans will see their favorite characters back on top. Unfortunately, they try too hard. Leia is all of a sudden Rey's master, and the major general, and has to have a big role in every movie. They're pushing it too much. And the OG fans would rather not see Luke at all than see his personality butchered like that. Luke Skywalker, who saw a grain of good in the most famous villain in film history, tries to murder his NEPHEW IN HIS SLEEP because he had a tiny vision of him being evil? If you showed a clip of how un-Luke like he acted in Force Awakens alone to an OG kid from the '80s, they would LOSE. THEIR. MARBLES. When they try to make him so prominent to the story, they have to show all his personality traits. Unfortunately, JJ, Kathleen, and Ryan didn't MAKE Luke, so they don't know how to perfectly register who he is. Perhaps a flashback to him training the jedi would have been enough, or a special transmission from him would have been enough, but they put too much of him. And Han. He so splendiferously appeared in the millennium falcon on Jakku. With this, while they showed his personality like it was before, there was too much of it. He let the main characters stay on the falcon and protected them from the kanjii club, who he apparently made a deal with, and released the saarlacs (Why would Han even keep those? They probably have some half-witted explanation for that.) In WoF, the dragonets of destiny have incredibly decreased in importance, but they still have big roles as the heads of Jade Mountain. That's what we need. Not too important, not too minor either. To put it exactly, the same amount of importance as Cankerby from The Ickabog. While he's hundreds of miles from being major, he plays the role of the sneaky servant who's always giving Spittleworth news. If Han played that type of role, I'd be much happier with him. But wait, you thought this was the end of it? Nigh, that was was paragraph one, by far the least important of those to come. I shall return to this topic tomorrow, because I definitely can't do paragraph two today.

message 23: by Dragobreak (new)

Dragobreak SECOND: LACK OF EXPLANATION. We see many, many, MANY crazy concepts and topics introduced in the new movies, AND LEGIT NONE OF THEM EXPLAINED ANYTHING WELL. How did Maz get Anakin/Luke's lightsaber? Hold on, you're telling me Palpatine survived everything? Why did the Millennium Falcon end up on Jakku? Personally, I like when people leave things out in movies and books. Fill in the gaps, make theories, or sit still and patiently wait for it to explain everything in the next episode. But when you leave HUGE things out and have the audacity to add more of the same type of stuff in the next film, you pass the line of being able to fill in the gaps and get really confused. Then other times, they explain things some ways, and contradict everything we just figured out solely for plot convenience! Who are Rey's parents? Oh, they're random nobodies? Alright, that sort of makes sense, but why did those First Orders keep Rey from returning to her nobody parents when she was a kid? They wouldn't know better than to assume she's a nobody too, right? Hold on, so they're failed Palpatine cloning-experiments? But that means they are somebodies, so why'd you tell us they're nobodies? WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?? This honestly feels like a rough draft of the actual story, the type that shows the plot but has so many mistakes you have to re-do the entire thing, and then they published that draft and called it a fully-made movie. This next thing I'm gonna say brings me back to part two, but they're trying to make the OG fans so happy by bringing back the old characters they forgot about logic.

It's Rey. Honestly, the best part about the new Star Wars trilogy is BB-8 lol XD but even cool droids can't save their cohesion/plot hole problems, especially since they had to switch directors for The Last Jedi. Last Jedi was so much more boring than the others. The Rise of Skywalker was honestly the best one of those three.

I hate when you travel to Phoenix and go to a hotel in a bad area where your disabled uncle can’t fit a wheelchair into a room that’s supposed to be able to fit a wheelchair.. I love being out of town, but we’ve never had to deal with a situation like this. My parents had to cancel that reservation and make a new reservation at a different hotel that seems a lot more comfortable and safer. What’s worse is that they advertise wheelchair accessible parking spots at their entrance. They also didn’t have an automated door button. All they had was a sticker on the window that said something about waiting for assistance. Like what? A wheelchair user is just supposed to wait outside until someone opens the door for them? Are employees watching that door 24/7 because I seriously doubt it 😒😠😑

Little-But-Not-Little Soda Rant
by me
*repost-e from my nook-e*

I don't like "regular" soda. Like Coke and Pepsi taste the EXACT SAME...(ill get into specific flavors later) Sprite is okay, I ✨spice up my sprite though. Don't like Dr Pepper. Root beer with the Cococola brand, is gross, lemme have the real stuff from a glass bottle from some indie company from the southern states. I don't like ginger ale, only drink it if i absolutely need to....and I can't think of any other types of traditional soda.

No, when I wish to enjoy a soda, I would like it first to be from a glass bottle, cause cans kinda suck, I will pour canned soda into a tall glass with ice and then its good. Also, I have long nails, so I can't open cans anyways. Now can I twist the top off of twist off caps on glass bottles? ...No, but thats fine.

I love Grape, Cream, and Orange Sodas...from glass bottles...

NOW grape soda is either really good or really bad. Grape popsicle flavor-sodas are good, grape medicine flavor-soda are gross. Boyland has the best Grape Soda i've ever tried. (even though my state doesn't like to sell them)

Boyland also has really good Cream Soda. However, you can buy cream soda Butterbeers, and I love those. Very cute bottles. ALSO if you ever go to Universal; get the frozen butterbeer. You're outside, its hot out, you've been in and out of lines. GET A FROZEN BUTTERBEER! Its a cream-soda flavored slushee and they are *chef kiss*

Now, Fanta is good, don't have a problem with it. I don't like canned sodas, as stated above, but its okay cause they have regular bottles too. You can't go wrong with orange soda. Don't have much to say about this....for some reason I thought of Dole Whip, it doesn't have orange in it (as far as I'm aware) but its good...so...yeah

COKE AND PEPSI FLAVORS.
Never really tried pepsi flavors, so this is just coke. MY ONLY EXCEPTION TO COKE BEING GROSS IS THE ORANGE VANILLA COKE.....it's fantastic....all the other flavors are whatever....the end

Now...Sprite is my go-to when in public and getting soda. HOWEVER if i'm at home and have a Sprite....you know those flavor powder packets, they also can be little bottles, ADD THOSE INTO SPRITE! Cause sprite has a very generic flavoring, you can't really mess this up. I like adding açai flavored ones. Very good, would recommend.

If you read this whole thing....congrats

Dragobreak Dragobreak wrote: "SECOND: LACK OF EXPLANATION. We see many, many, MANY crazy concepts and topics introduced in the new movies, AND LEGIT NONE OF THEM EXPLAINED ANYTHING WELL. How did Maz get Anakin/Luke's lightsaber..."

THIRD: A SINGLE SCENE RUINED THE FRANCHISE! Hehe, you thought I would finish with a measly two paragraphs? If you had the patience to sit out every disney Star Wars movie, you'll probably know what I'm talking about. Listen, they could have made all the terrible things they want in their own neat section of trash, but what truly makes me angry is The Rise Of Skywalker. No, I don't mean Rey claiming the most iconic surname ever, I'm talking about the beginning scene: A weird, pink haired lady jumps hyperspace through a fleet and... destroys everything. I could have made an entire thing about how this breaks logic, but this does so much more than that. Every single space battle in history has been completely undermined because of this. In fact, it makes you think that if they had done that with any Death Star, it would have been destroyed. This is a prime example of THINK BEFORE YOU ACT, DISNEY! And the reason why they ruined Star Wars is... plot convenience. They wanted a destroyed star fleet, and they were too lazy to think of an exciting battle. In fact, they didn't need to make it exciting; they're far past that point. They needed to make it reasonable, and maybe that would make me give a positive point to disney. You know what? There's something else. Force healing. Picture this: You just saw Last Jedi a week ago and needed to fix your mind. You're watching Attack of the clones and you're on the death of Shmi scene. While you usually focus on the intensity of the scene, your mind begins to ponder. Hold on, if he could force heal, wouldn't he have saved the lives of men, women and children? What about Anakin on Mustafar? If Anakin was worried about Padme dying because of pain of child birth, he could've comforted himself by saying he could force-heal and save her! I'm too mad for words.

I didn't really want to rant again, but here we go.

So, I'm a slow eater. Have been since I was a child. My family and I have largely attributed it to my small stomach (due to my small frame), health issues, and small jaw. Last time I went out of town with my grandparents and uncle, my grandma pointed out how I was still eating, sometimes even a couple hours later numerous times, so much so that I wanted to shrink in on myself and disappear (as dramatic as that sounds). My dad would shut her comments down, saying that it's normal and that I take a while to eat. This is fine. This is normal. My grandma doesn't know my eating habits.

Flash forward to this morning. We got gluten-free cupcakes for my grandpa's 80th birthday. They were medium-sized cupcakes, meaning they were larger than most cupcakes. It took me about 20-30 minutes to eat while it took everyone else about 10-15. Also, keep in mind that I had just eaten leftovers I had from the night before, and it was a decent amount.

As we're driving back home, my dad mentions that the place that had cupcakes had brownies, but he didn't pick up any. My mother said she had wanted to get some cupcakes and brownies. My father lists off a few excuses as to why he didn't, one of which was that I 'took long enough to eat the cupcake as is.' However, my 'taking forever to eat the cupcake' was after he made the purchase. My sister shut his comment down, after which he said he didn't mean it that way, but I'm still pretty upset about this.

I'm 18. I've taken forever to eat since I was pretty much born. I'm aware that I eat slow. I've had the same parents for almost 20 years. Must the fact that I eat slow be brought up as an issue still? I thought we were over that. I thought it was normal. It just annoyed me so much. I already feel enough like a burden as is, so must everyone--save my sister (and sometimes my mother)--make me feel worse?

On the bright side, in our party of 7, I finished in 3rd on eating dinner. I beat my mother (whom I normally don't beat), my grandpa, my grandma, and my uncle (who eats almost as slow as I does). I was only slower than my father and sister, though my father always finishes before everyone else does. So, on the bright side, I surprised everyone at that table and was complimented =) Normally, I finish eating long after everyone else.

I'm still annoyed by my father's comments though whether they were intentional or not.

I'm female btw, just cause my hair is shorter doesn't mean I'm a boy, plus I was wearing earings. I was rlly offended, so I insulted her hair and started sending weird gif's. so I'm working on my college apps....I feel like I'm doing fairly well. I've written 3 out of 6 essays and I got most of the technical stuff done. however, I'm trying to get my transcript from my school from freshman year but they're taking forever and every time I call the school they get so impatient with me. like, literally the rest of my life will be determined by these applications!! they should be nice to seniors trying to get apps done. and I'm really worried cuz this school always ALWAYS messes up the transcripts. every person I've talked to who has gotten their transcript had had it messed up. it's ridiculous. and my application is due on November first so I'm really really stressed out but trying not to show it. also I cannot figure out what to write for one of my essays :(
