Right now I am reading another book by Elizabeth Letts, The Ride of Her Life: The True Story of a Woman, Her Horse, and Their Last-Chance Journey Across America which is pretty good so far.

I did not enjoy the writing style of the author. I felt like it was disjointed and too many people and events just suddenly dropped. There were some interesting parts. I liked the book better after I read the afterword so I wish it had been the Prologue. While I was reading the book I felt like the author was stretching the story too much to make the Wizard of Oz books fit into his life but learned in the afterword that Frank Baum really did use events from his own life to fashion the story.
I don’t remember any swearing and usually I will put something about that in a review. However it was obvious that the film execs were engaging in inappropriate behavior but I don’t remember anything descriptive.

Thank you!!
