I read this novel early in the year after watching a NY Times book talk on it. I had not read it but the upcoming presentation presented me with motivation to read it then. I liked it quite a bit and remember looking on IMDB and finding that it would be released later in the year. I will definitely check out the Netflix film and I highly recommend the novel. Thanks for shedding the spotlight on this excellent novel, Annie!
Brian, thank you for sharing your thoughts and recommendation! I am really looking forward to reading this.
"An undersung gem of the Harlem Renaissance: Nella Larsen's Passing, a captivating and prescient exploration of identity, sexuality, self-invention, class, and race set amidst the pealing boisterousness of the Jazz Age."
