That's just a quick selection based on a browse through. I also didn't include laughter, or singing either, and there are quite a few of those, which I think fit the prompt. There are a lot more with light as well, if you consider that an emotion word.

Out of my "to-read" list I'm pulling up On Love by Alain de Botton of Switzerland, “a hip, charming, and devastatingly witty rumination on the thrills and pitfalls of romantic love.
It'll be my first book by a Swiss author.
My notes say it's $3 on kindle.

Bonheur d'occasion by Gabrielle Roy (the English title is The Tin Flute but the original French title means secondhand happiness)

I've finished On Love by Alain de Botton. At the end he mentions the (1001) novel Madame Bovary by Balzac, which I was already planning to use for my "1001 book mentioned in another 1001 book I read this year" scavenger task, after seeing it mentioned in The Idiot. Weird that it was mentioned in two books I've read this year (in less than three months); must be a sign!

Funny that it was missed, one of three "Lover" titles along with "Sons and..." and "Lady Chatterly's...". It's a short one.
