Even Though I Knew the End is a sapphic historical noir, and that premise? Oh it drips with mythic tragedy!
An exiled auspex who sold her soul to save her brother's life is offered one last job before serving an eternity in hell. When she turns it down, her client sweetens the pot by offering up the one payment she can't resist―the chance to have a future where she grows old with the woman she loves.
Not to mention, that cover is just gorgeous. Hopefully those birds are an auspicious sign for our auspex. :)
Wild Sky is an indie title I've had my eye on for a while. An LGBT+ fantasy with a POC protagonist... and Dragons! I haven't read a dragon rider book in some time. A former Sky Guard, his dragon dead, himself now injured, called back to duty. A man with a wild dragon, unaware it is forbidden for those outside the Sky Guard to have them.
The Danish author also is a visual artist and she has done some pretty character art.
@Mel, ooohhh pretty!They both look super interesting! Particularly Wild Sky... I'd be interested in a BR for it...

Brilliant book choices Mel. I actually own the paperback of Wild Sky myself. Another one of those books you think oh I want to read that asap only for it to sit on your bookshelf for ages!!

My copy of Fairy Tale arrived yesterday! It's so pretty! Does anyone have a recommendation of where to put a picture so that embedding work properly in goodreads? I tried google but it didn't work nice...

I recently read the 2nd of my original 2 Book Fairy books: ( they were Bigfootloose and Finn Fancy Free & Smells Like Finn Spirit, the last 2 books in a trilogy, received last year)
Next time I have a gap in my never-ending BR schedule, I have the last of my most recent Book Fairy books queued up: (this time I got Exiles & Fox Creek, received last month)...
