Read a book from the combined 1001 book lists with a book character's name that fits for each letter of the alphabet. Each character name must be a proper noun and begin with that letter of the alphabet. It is not necessary for the character to be the main protagonist. The character's name does not need to appear in the book's title. The character you use also does not need to be human (i.e. you may use the name of a pet). You may use either the character's first or last name to fulfill the requirement. Titles such as Mrs. Doubtfire for 'M' or Colonel Sanders for 'C', etc. are acceptable if that is how the character is mainly referred to in the book. This challenge does not need to be done in any particular order. Try to limit yourself to no more than two names per book.
Here are some examples using non-1001 books:
A: Anne in Anne of Green Gables
B: Buckbeak in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (animal example)
