Jonas Is | 3 comments Middle School: Save Rafe!, by James Patterson. Our characters are Rafe Katchidorian, a not-so average middle schooler, his sister Georgia Katchidorian, also a middle schooler, Sergeant Fish, essentially an overnight camp drill sergeant, and Carmen, who is what you'd expect to come from a black alley in Detroit.

When Rafes school of airbrook arts gets closed for good because of.. reasons he has to return to the pit of bad memories known as Hills Village Middle School. Over the summer Rafe's mom gets this great idea to send him to a one week, in the woods, boot camp essentially. When Rafe gets on the bus to go to said camp he already knows this will be tough from the leader, Sergeant Fish, to camp members such as Carmen. During his grueling travels in the wilderness with no hope of survival he gets to "enjoy": trying to master his acrophobia, attempting to ride the Arkansas river rapids on a wooden raft, having to deal with soaking rain with a great line from one of his fellow 'inmates', and scaling a mountain. All while listening to the constant "Move, move, move, move, MOOOVE!!!" of Sergeant Fish.

This book is very much like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Big Nate, only with more laughs, more drawings, and more MOOOVE!!!. So if you like these things this book is for you.

You may not like this if you prefer a more serious book like Harry Potter, or don't like Diary of a Wimpy Kid style books.

It's very humorous; there are a lot of laugh out loud moments, like the quote I mentioned in the second paragraph.
