Krystal (krystallee6363) | 2270 comments So this year I'm looking forward to signing on as a full time martial arts instructor. This is a very holistic art with a bit of spiritual influence if you are so inclined, but mostly I find it helps to discover the best version of one's self.

As such, my goal this year is to read 10 self-development books to help me grow.

If anyone has suggestions of Australian authors that may have work fitting into this category please let me know! :)

1. Stillness Is the Key by Ryan Holiday
2. Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
3. How To Keep Your Brain Young: Preserve memory, reduce dementia risk, harness neuroplasticity and restore function by Kerryn Phelps (AA)
4. A Book of Five Rings: The Classic Guide to Strategy
5. Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking

Deb Omnivorous Reader | 1929 comments My two favourite Marital arts books (because I prefer to do rather than read about it, there are not that many) are:
Living Aikido: Form, Training, Essence
and
A Book of Five Rings: The Classic Guide to Strategy

But in terms of personal development I would also recommend Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking
which makes you think about what you know and how you know it.
