Giulia | 5 comments Hi all, I ended up in the whirlwind of the enemies to lovers trope, especially related to fantasy, but BookTok only seems to suggest the same books all over again. And, most of the times, it is honestly disappointing. Lovers that aren’t actually enemies to begin with, or they fall in love overnight or there is no chemistry at all. I particularly fond of the betrayal trope.

Anyway, I thought about creating a list here of those that I have read, even those that I didn’t like, so that it might useful for someone to have a full list. At the same time, I would appreciate any recommendations.

Shatter me /⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From Blood and Ash /⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sky in the Deep /⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A court of Thorns and Roses /⭐️⭐️⭐️
Serpent and Dove /⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
To Kill a Kingdom / ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Shadows Between Us /⭐️⭐️
The Orchid Throne /⭐️⭐️
A Curse so Dark and Lonely /⭐️
The Cruel Prince /⭐️
Dance of Thieves /⭐️
Kiss of Deception /⭐️
Kingdom of the Wicked/ ⭐️
Throne of Glass /⭐️

Elita ₊✩ˎˊ˗ I don't read fantasy much, so I don't have a recommendation. I just wanted to say I'm so glad I found someone else who didn't enjoy The Cruel Prince. I tried reading the book twice to see what everyone else sees in it because it's so hyped up, but I just couldn't get myself to like it.

is it a slow book or fast pace? i like rhapsodic. but i hate how some books take so long on trying to build a story when i want more romance, banter and action.

Glen (sahury) | 1 comments i also didnt like The Cruel Prince, i tought about quitting it a couple of tinmes buuuuut the ending left me a little intrigued at least and i read the next one (Wicked King) and it really is soooo good. Many times in other books they say is eneies to lovers but in reality is forbidden romance but here they are truly fully enemies before they liked each other

message 20: by Rebekah (new)

Rebekah | 1 comments Shatter me will forever be my favourite book series! The enemies to lovers in this was everything. Had the biggest reading hangover with that book. I know a lot of people didn't enjoy cruel prince but honestly I loved it, I do admit there wasn't the amount of romance I was expecting but I loved it! I feel like the first book was the literal definition of them being enemies which I liked a lot because usually when people recommended me enemies to lovers books, it isn't really isn't the actual strong enemies to lovers that I expect but yeah okay I realised I wrote maybe a bit too much lol

Mokuyo | 4 comments It's interesting that many here loved Shatter me, but hate Cruel Prince.

I startet Shatter me as audio book and all the delited sentences drove me nuts and I dnf.

But I LOVE the Cruel Prince series. It's my all time favorites. But I agree, that it's a lot of politics in here, too and not "only" enemies to lovers.

I also loved To Kill a Kingdom. And I love Wicked Kingdom.
At the beginning I also loved Blood and Ash, but I stoped reading it after the third book.

I want to start Dance of Thieves today :) Hope I like it, too.
