Oh I bet that's better to appreciate the French pronunciation. I was having too many distractions to easily get into the book but now that I have, I can't put it down!! It's fantastic. I almost don't want it to end but I'm dying to know how it ends. The struggles of an amazing book...

It was a "One More Chapter" night until 3:30 this morning when I ran out of chapters. OH SUCH A GREAT BOOK!!! I can't wait to talk about it but I don't want to have spoilers right now since it's still February. But it's one of my favs.

Myra Chandler | 15 comments I am with you Jennifer! I have about 3 1/2 more hours to go in the audible book and I am loving it. I really like Charley in the “present story and also Lydia and her family in the “historical story. I am enjoying the French pronunciation, you are right about that, but I’m not sure how to spell any of the names, lol. I also have learned a lot about the antique business and the shipbuilding business, so there’s something about each of the stories that is really educational and fascinating. I keep wanting to skip forward to the end, but I am not going to do it. I am definitely going to look into more historical fiction books. I hope to finish in the next couple of days and post again by next weekend.

Myra Chandler | 15 comments I finished and I loved it! Great, happy ending for almost all of the characters. This book has stayed with me and I keep thinking about the story lines. I really got lost in this book imagining what life would be like for Lydia. When I go to sleep I’ve been listening to it again. It’s like white noise for me but before I fall asleep and if I wake up in the night I get to listen. I am enjoying it the second time around as well.

That's what I do with my audiobooks at night!! I love this story! It has stayed with me too. Lydia is the youngest and a girl but she is the rock to the family and I love how everyone looked to her for strength. She was not brushed off.
