Please make sure you read all rules for any game before joining in. You may have seen this or another game played elsewhere on GoodReads or another site, but every group tends to put their own spin on a game. For example, this being a mystery group, we ask that all titles be kept within the mystery genre.
** Players take turns running down the alphabet using book titles. Besides having fun, it exposes folks to new books or authors. Author should be included in your answer.
** All mysteries please, cozy if you can.
** It can be difficult to come up with titles for X and Z -- in which case, try to find a title that contains the required letter. For example, for the letter "Z" you might post a title that contains the word "buzz." (There are plenty of mystery titles that start with Q and Y, so this should only be used for X and Z!)
** “A, “An and “The do not count as first words of a title.
** If you know how, please use the "add book/author " feature to link to the book you list in case anyone wants to look it up. Please refrain from linking to covers in this particular thread -- save those for the "Scavenger Hunt" game. ,-)
** After you take a turn, please wait for at least one other person to take a turn before having another go. Once we get to Z and the end of the alphabet, next person starts over with A. And if you've read the book you list, feel free to leave your thoughts about the book.
** Do not skip letters!
** Please make sure you are on the last page of the game before jumping in. If not sure what page you’re on, look at the numbers above the comment box. If it’s bold, you’re good. If you’re still not sure, try clicking on the last number and see if anything happens.
Have fun!
