Non-King Group Read Nominations for July 2022

I need some help with this. If I go to the shelf and type Dead Girls or Whiteout they both appear. But if I search the list myself, either by title or author, they don’t appear.

MY SISTER, THE SERIAL KILLER by Oyinkan Braithwaite

My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite

I don’t think anybody suggested otherwise? I’m asking the mods for help on searching the bookshelf

Yeah someone named Chris posted that message right after I put my book on there. Somebody else suggested THE MAID twice.
Sorry, I wasn’t meaning you. I read your post.

Not sure why it's doing that for you. But I checked as well and neither book is on the shelf. So, either will work if you want to nominate one...

You can nominate any one book, not written by Stephen King, that the group has not read before. Check the group's shelf to see what we have read. You don't have to have read it before, but you should be willing to read it if you nominate it.

Ok, as I still don’t see how to search the shelf I will nominate Whiteout

That is the list of everything that has been read in that part of the group. I nominated MY SISTER THE SERIAL KILLER. If you don’t want to go to the trouble of checking the list for a Non-King book, I think you can just like on something that has already been nominated and your vote will be counted. Just don’t write the book out again because the same book can’t be nominated twice. Hope this helps. I am not an admin and I am still learning myself.

Those are not requirements. It simply needs to be a book not written by King himself. King reads outside the horror genre, so it's assumed that most of us do as well.

Thank you so much Donna. That’s what I did. I was referring to the tip how to search for a book, that search function is not for the shelf but all of GR books. So any book you type, will appear. Tried it with a Dutch children’s book and it showed up nonetheless 😂

I just read it and would love to discuss it with others.

I have the book and can’t wait to read it. I love Grady Hendrix.

This sounds like something I'd love to read.

This looks like the 3rd in a series, but very interesting and a good choice for the group, so I'll substitute the first book into the poll.

We didn't have a non-King for June. We typically do this every other month, with a King only book in the in between months.

This looks interesting, but from what I can tell it's currently unavailable/out of print.
