Hello. I'm new to joining bookcrossing and trying to get the hang of it. I'm trying to get books rolling in my area on Illinois, if anyone wants to sweep books and get new books rolling let me know. I gotta start somewhere!

Hi Tiffany! I'm new to Bookcrossing too and live in IL. I'm planning to start releasing books in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago.

I joined Book Crossing back in 2002 and didn't do anything with it at the time.

Later, I started geocaching, which has some similarities. I recently started releasing some books in local Little Free Libraries that are also geocaches. So I browsed the Book Crossing site again, after releasing the books, and it doesn't seem to be very active. A lot of people seem to have joined 10-15 years ago and then it fizzled.

I think it would help a LOT if there were an app, but even any chatter about an app seems to be several years old. Does anyone have any news about a Book Crossing app?

I'm Judith and I live in the Netherlands. I just joined bookcrossing.com since it's pretty well-known in the Netherlands and because I really like the concept!

The german forum is very active and we have an un-convention every year. This time it was in the town I live. Other we have (mostly) monthly meetings, meet ups in several towns. So the bookcrossing scene is rather vivid.

Yes an app wouldhelp in many eays, but as BC relys mostl on funding and people with the right ideasand abilities, it will all take time.

I've just joined the bookcrossing website and am very excited to start releasing my unloved books into the wild!
