Our current series will wrap up at the end of September 2022, so I am opening nominations for our next series to begin October 1, 2022.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Rules for nominating a series:
1. The series must be complete (as far as we can reasonably tell).
2. The series must be fantasy (I know, seems obvious).
3. The series should not be targeted mainly for middle school or a YA audience.
4. The series must not be one the group has already read. Look through the list of discussions or the group bookshelf to see if we’ve read it before.
5. Each member may nominate one series. Please tell us the name of the series, the author, how many books are in the series, and the name of first book in the series. If you want to add more information, please feel free.
6. Nominations no longer need a second to move into the polling as long as they meet the other guidelines.
8. Nominations will be open through August 19. We will then have a poll. If there are a lot of nominations or the results are close, we will have a run-off poll between or among the top vote-getters.

Nominations are open! Let’s go!

Just clarifying that you are nominating the original 3 books and not all 6 that Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ lists in this series, correct?

Mary Catelli | 24 comments Riddle-Master (3 books) by Patricia A. McKillip, starting with The Riddle-Master of Hed

Michelle (michellehartline) | 128 comments I’ll second Riddlemaster.

I don’t have a nomination at the moment.

Yrret (yrretel) | 1 comments It’s been a while since I’ve read Riddle Master. I’m due for a reread.

message 7: by Eva (new)

Eva | 8 comments I'd love to read the Dandelion Dynasty Series (/series/1171...) by Ken Liu with the group. I've already read and loved the first one, and I've heard they only get better with each book! (4 books in total)

I will (again) nominate the Sharing Knife/Wide Green World Series by Lois McMaster Bujold, 4 books starting with Beguilement. There is a 5th ebook (novella) but I am not including that in the nomination. If this series happens to win, we can decide whether to include it or not.

Bujold is one of my favorite authors and I love both her SF and fantasy. This series has been on my shelf unread for quite some time.

Kevin | 64 comments Bujold is the best!

Nachiket | 19 comments I'll nominate the War for the Rose Throne series (4 books) by Peter McLean, starting with Priest of Bones.

Only a few more days for nominations! Remember, no seconds are needed for your nomination to move into the polls.

Who has a series they want to read with the group?

The poll for our next series (starting October 1, 2022) is only open through August 25, so if you haven’t voted yet, please do!

It looks like we may need a runoff poll since the leading series are pretty close. If so, it will open on August 26 and run through the end of the month.

Thanks to everyone who voted!
Polling was very close between the top 2 series, so we will have a run-off/final poll. Voting will be open through the end of August. You can check back on Sept. 1 to see which series won.

Please vote here!
