This thread will be open for you to ask questions!

Please only ask one (1) question in a single comment. However, if your question has two parts to it, you may ask them in the same comment.

This will make it easier for authors to respond to specific questions at their leisure. Even though this event is not a "live" interview, we still want to treat it as such!

Furthermore, it is encouraged that members ask as many questions as possible. This will create a more engaging interview!

If your question is geared to one specific author, please include a @(author's name) at the beginning of your question. If it is a general question, you don't need to do that.

You may ask any questions you want to, but some topics can include:

I'll kick this off with the first (fun!) question!

What is your favorite comfort food to much when writing, plotting, etc.?

I like to munch on chips (Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar) and chocolate chip cookies. When I’m really deep into writing, I live on coffee only.

Ooh, yum! I love ruffles!

Next fun question: what is the longest you’ve spent writing in one sitting?

What are some good marketing strategies?

Hi! MC Clay, MG Hernandez, and CE Ord have all given their opinions on marketing in their interviews, linked above. I recommend checking those out! :)

I’d say build an Instagram community. For some odd reason, marketing my books by creating memes have given me a lot of traction and interest. Don’t just post about yourself. Hype up other authors and other bookstagrammers. Make friends and collaborate with them. There’s no one way to do marketing. Some will work for others but won’t work for you, but the main thing is you get out there and make yourself visible. If you’re not shy, talk to your local bookstores and libraries to see if they can host a book signing. I haven’t had good luck with Twitter, but some people did well there. I just started Tiktok. We’ll see how that goes.
