Here's to a colorful and happy 2023 of reading great books!

Same here, Desley. Last couple of months I haven't gotten all of mine finished, although I've read several "accidental" of the color each month -- I need to plan better.

So every month I post what that month’s colors are in a separate thread. You go through your books and choose one or more that have at least one of that month’s colors on the cover (any amount is fine, although obviously a preponderance of the color is preferable) and post them in that month’s thread. As you read, come back and post what you thought. It’s just a fun way to get books off our TBRs. :-)

I appreciate that you didn't treat me like a complete dummy....lol. Somebody will eventually write Book Challenges for Dummies...lol

We were all new to challenges once. :)

True -- I always add more than I read because of this challenge!

I do that too. I list 10 possibles for each month, and if I read something along the way I mark it off, and then when the month comes I pick from what's left.

Ooh, maybe I could try that next year, as this year was the first year I failed with this challenge
You're not alone in that, Desley..... I have a couple of outstandings from a couple of months.... I guilted myself into moving them onto the corresponding 2023 color lists.

I received 4 books for Christmas, but one is going to be read today. 2 of the others may work their way into the color challenge. I'm anxious for a great year of reading!
For anyone who doesn't know, in our old group this challenge was moderated by the lovely and indefatigable Jackie. She stepped back because of other commitments but I still think of it as "her" challenge, so I asked her if she would pick our colors for us for 2023 and she graciously agreed. The 2023 color choices are below for your planning pleasure.
JANUARY white or blue
FEBRUARY pink or light gray
MARCH navy or rose gold
APRIL teal or bronze
MAY tan or hot pink
JUNE yellow or grape
JULY brown or light blue
AUGUST silver or lavender
SEPTEMBER dark gray or mustard yellow
OCTOBER orange or black or red
NOVEMBER rust or gold
DECEMBER emerald green or purple
