December Author of the Month - Pepper Basham!
date
newest »

I love Pepper's work! There's always a good dose of humour, but also beautiful Christian messages as well. The last book of hers that I read (The Heart of the Mountains
) made me cry happy tears at a pivotal point. That said, I don't think I have a favourite right now.
I am going to be reading
for December.

I am going to be reading

and for December I'll be Authentically Izzy and The Mistletoe Countess.

Hoping to read

Finished

I just finished Christmas in Mistletoe Square: Christmas Romance Novella Collection
and loved it! Pepper's novella in particular was a 5 star read for me!

Our author of the month for December is Pepper Basham.
Pepper's website:
About Pepper...
She wrote her first story when she was a nine year- old, freckled-faced tomboy in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Coming from a long line of oral storytellers, weaving a good yarn seemed a typical part of Pepper's life. It wasn’t until she finished college, had two children, and a full-time job before she began to study the ‘craft of writing.
Her music-director turned pastor husband took his first senior pastor position eight years ago, moved the family to Tennessee, where they added their fifth and final kid to the Basham crew. And now they're in Asheville, NC. Yep, they love the Blue Ridge Mountains.
So…now Pepper's an older, freckled-faced mommy enjoying life, learning to write, and laughing often. Her mom says that she must have a small bit of insanity because she doesn’t realize how stressed she ought to be.
Pepper is also a speech-language pathologist who spends her time hanging out with kids who have social communication and language difficulties! It’s a challenge and a blessing and constantly teaches her about the importance of thinking outside the box!
Her latest novel, Authentically Izzy, released November 15.
Do we have any Pepper Basham fans in the group? Do you have a favorite book of hers that you'd like to share? Which novel do you plan to read?
