I'm terrible at sticking to these, but I'll just spit this out anyway.
My goals are...
1. read 100 owned books
2. raise my NetGalley percentage by 3 percentage points (and maintain that spot!)

My goals are to finish series I've already started, read more already owned books and read a few authors that I've been meaning to get to and haven't yet. Pretty sure these are the same goals as last year and I did pretty ok with series and the authors, but not so great on focusing on owned books. Oh well...having fun reading so it's all good.

I had to give up book reviewing when my husband's health necessitated me becoming his caretaker and I haven't read many books at all this year. Now that he's more stable, I'm finding time to read again and discovering a new enjoyment from it. In looking back over a lifetime of reading, many books stand out as absolute gems and I'd like to read many of them again, knowing that I'll get even more out of them the second time.

1. Read the 79 physical books I own prior 2023
2. Get my netgalley percentage up by getting caught up on reviews
3. Stick to only buying the 12 book's I've got in my online cart for pre-orders. Unless using Holiday or birthday money.
4. Read at least 2 owned books from Kindle each month. I'm not picking a number of kindle books to read in the year. I've got to many on there. Thanks to the kindle freebies.
5. Make a dent in my unfinished series
6. Read three classics.
7. Make it through the Old Testament.

Goals? maybe I will
1. Read at least one book from the Author of the Month
2. Read more than I purchase.
3. Complete as many reading challenges as possible.

1. Buy less - rather read books I have for years
2. Finish series busy with
3. Request less review books (difficult but to allow time to focus on owned books).
4. Do not plan too much - leave space for flexibility and to just have fun reading.
Try to be relaxed in my reading goals, enjoy the books that I hope to read from my personal bookshelf and the library and give my spending account an overdue rest in the book department from down here in NZ.

My overall reading goal this year is to read with intention to enjoy what I read a little more. I will achieve this by:
1. Paying attention to the detail in the books I read like year, country, writing style ect - Joining some of the challenges will help with this
2. Reading books recommended and the authors I enjoy
3. Start writing reviews again
4. Update my challenges more often
5. Increase my reading to 6 books a month instead of 5 so I should end the year by reading 72 books :)

1) Read through the Bible from Genesis-Deuteronomy along with Biblical Fiction to match.
2) Set up more bookshelves so I don't have piles of books on the floor anymore.
3) Don't aim to complete the maximum level for my challenges this year, but instead just see what I happen to get.
4) Take a break from the 50 States challenge to give myself more breathing room.
5) Continue reading aloud to my daughter every night! <3

Love #5 Bonny since I am a retired elementary reading teacher. I'm reading chapter books with my 10 year old grandson. We get together once a week and talk about the chapters we've read either in person or on the phone.

2. finish main reading challenbge
3. Read at least two, new Christian fiauthors

Main goals:
1. Buy less - rather read books I have for years - Yes, though there were some months I failed, I did manage to buy less than the previous years.
2. Finish series busy with - Yes, some, but others not so much.
3. Request less review books (difficult but to allow time to focus on owned books). - Yes, some, but can still approve in the next year.
4. Do not plan too much - leave space for flexibility and to just have fun reading. - No, I joined a lot of challenges and with the move lost a lot of reading time which threw my year plans out of control.

1. Read each month 4 from my TBR list, 4 from Kindle, and 4 from shelves.
*I held to this fairly well but didn't make the 4 from the shelves every month.
2. Each month finish 2 series missing only 1 book.
* I did much better than I thought finishing 31 series!!
3 Use only books from my TBR list, Kindle and shelves: library if needed to complete challenges.
*This was a hit or miss.

2. Buy only books that I absolutely love
3. Try to read more books that I have already bought before I buy anymore
The 2024 Reading Resolutions thread is called 2024 Reading Plans and is found in the Looking Back & Looking Aheadfolder.

1) Read through the Bible from Genesis-Deuteronomy along with Biblical Fiction to match. (DID NOT EVEN START)
2) Set up more bookshelves so I don't have piles of books on the floor anymore. (SET UP ONE NEW BOOKSHELF AND MOVED MOST OF THE PILES ONTO IT)
3) Don't aim to complete the maximum level for my challenges this year, but instead just see what I happen to get. (ACCOMPLISHED)
4) Take a break from the 50 States challenge to give myself more breathing room. (ACCOMPLISHED, AND WILL DO AGAIN THIS YEAR)
5) Continue reading aloud to my daughter every night! <3 (GRADUALLY TRANSITIONED TO HER READING TO ME INSTEAD, BUT WANT TO INCREASE MY READING TO HER MORE)
Altogether, a fairly decent accomplishment of my goals!
1) Read from the books on my shelves and on my Kindle every month.
2) Limit picks from Netgalley to 3 each month.
3) Limit my purchases and freebies from Kindle.
4) Only get books from the library that are on my TBR list (It's pages and pages long!)
