DHASG 2023 Narrow My Pile Challenge
Date: 1-January-2023 to 31-January-2023
My Shelf: /review/list...
Goal: Read 15 books from this list of books that I own and have not read for years, books in series I need to, and new authors I want to start reading.
Dates: 1 January-December 31, 20223
Rules:
1. Any DHASG member may participate.
2. Sign up here and engage with the participants on this challenge. If your profile is private, you will need to list all the books you want to be chosen for in this challenge. Otherwise, you can link to a shelf that you create for books you'd like to be chosen for the challenge. On the challenge page, you can create a shelf for books you'd like to qualify for the challenge. Please include at least 30 books to keep things interesting.
3. A book can only count once for the challenge.
4. No rereads (the goal is to read new to you books on your TBR pile).
5. You may choose as many or as few books you want to read for this challenge. If you read all the books you originally set as a goal, keep reading and setting new goals through the rest of the year.
On your thread, you will list the books separately by number and when you read them. You will need to update your feed with the recommendations and when you read them.
Your suggestion buddy will reply to your thread with a book or list of books they are recommending that you read. Participants may also keep track of books they recommend on their own feed. (it goes without saying that we all have different tastes, so let's refrain from making disparaging comments about people's reading tastes.)
6. Please avoid posting spoilers on any books. If you want to put a star rating by the book that's great (you can always link to your review if you'd like).
7. This is a new challenge format, so please feel free to make suggestions to facilitate the process.
8. I don't think there should be a penalty for dnf'ing the book. However, If you don't finish it, you don't get a point for it. You can have your buddy recommend another book in that case.
