I'm Jewish, so answering this would take like 5 hours

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha. It's ok, all opinions welcome

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Just about earth, but you can also talk about the universe if you want

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Come on guys I want to see some heated debate here!!!!!
Somebody please turn up the oven!!!!!!!

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

*debates

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Idk hard question

God or science? Hmmmmm.......

Well I do know there's one theory that also kinda evolve a greater being out in the universe...

Look up "quantum mechanics and consciousness"

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes
As I said before "quantum consciousness"

message 9: by Mina (new)

Mina | 69 comments i do. As a Muslim i believe that God created the universe and everything in it.

message 10: by Najla (new)

Najla (klassyx) | 14 comments I say it's God who has created the universe but let's say it was the Big Bang, then who created the Big Bang, who made the density state higher........

message 11: by Mina (new)

Mina | 69 comments i agree with Najila.
science leaves too many questions unanswered.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

I believe God created the earth & every living thing inhabiting it, including us.

SO DO I!!!!!

message 14: by marthie ! (new)

marthie ! (marthie) I am Christian, but that doesn't mean that I believe in the creation. Evolution makes more sense to me, and it interests me.

message 15: by Mina (new)

Mina | 69 comments now that interests me, Martha.
sorry if i sound rude, but i thought all Christians believed in god?
and just out of curiosity, if you do then what role does he play if not as the creator?

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

If you're a Christian, then yes, you'll believe in God. Whether you think he's the supreme creator of the universe or simply played a part in creating earth varies from person to person. If you don't believe in God as the creator....than maybe you just think he's a 'watcher' of some sort, and didn't actually play a role in the creation of earth and its living organisms.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

This is a very religion related comment...

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

And?

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

It depends on how you view it really.....

Then he did..........what?
the meaning of 'God' according to google is
"the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being."

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

That's according to Google XD
You can have a different meaning for God than I

I can even believe God is my own mother if I so choose......but no

It all goes down to what our believe system is

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Petey wrote: "It depends on how you view it really....."

That's the point I was trying to make ya'll, it depends on the person

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

True that

message 24: by Mina (new)

Mina | 69 comments Yup

message 25: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 150 comments Scientists have actually taken back their oh so beloved theory of the Big Bang, finally realizing it's flaws and are now claiming that the universe has no beginning and no end. There are honestly even MORE flaws with this theory than the Big Bang had. If the universe had no beginning, how do we know what civilization came first? First implies a beginning. If the universe had no beginning, then why is it so wrong according to this secular society to claim that God did it? And if the universe has no end, why do they claim that if the sun dies. all other things around it shall die? There "logic" is about as logical as believing in the easter bunny. They just need to make something up because they cannot admit God exists because the people would get angry. In addition, they say the universe has no end so that why they find that supposed cure to death, people can truly live forever. I'm sorry, but which side seems like a fairytale now?

What do you mean by "two creation stories"?
& after Jesus died on the Cross & rose again, all those rules from the Old Testament to keep people clean & godly changed.
