I like this book better than book 1. Mostly because I like opposites attract romance. And a hero that’s the strong silent type. Issac is a tough, killing machine. It will be interesting to read how he gets together with Greer. She’s very refined and out of his league. And the fact that Mathias is after Issac, that will keep the story exciting.

I read a bit last night but didn't get as far as you. I'm reading instead of listening so I am enjoying this more then last time.

It’s interesting learning more about the angels, Adrian and Eddie. Devina has been with all 3 angels. It’s true, she does get around! LOL

And Devina is torturing poor Isaac too.

I am enjoying the suspense. And Isaac and Greer make a hot couple.

So tragic, though, that Greer’s dad tried to get out of the agency. And the consequence was the death of his own son.

I'm noticing that Ward likes multiple characters in her books. Keeping everyone straight takes a few chapters. I enjoyed the prologue as it gave a picture of Jim's background. I guess Isaac is Jim's next person to help. I'm looking forward to seeing what develops between Grier and Isaac. (hide spoiler)]

That was an ending ending. Mathias is dead. Isaac and Greer’s father are free.

But Jim lost this round! I didn’t expect that. Things should get even more interesting between Jim and Devina in the next book.

So Jim is stronger then the angels thought. That's interesting, I'm looking forward to seeing what other powers he has.
I do wonder how Grier could see Jim. I guess the same way she can see her brother. I hope both are eventually explained

(view spoiler)[ Jim's torture/rape was horrific. Since there are more books I suspect he gets through it. I really hope someone takes Devinia down.
I didn't expect Isaac to use the lifeline to turn himself in.
Grier's dad was /is in a no win situation. I can see how he wouldn't want to lose another child.

Yes. Some of it was pretty twisted. LOL But on the whole I liked the book. This book really advanced the storyline of Jim and Devina.

I really liked this more then book one. I was surprised that Jim lost that round but I guess it makes sense that the battle rounds will go back and forth. Everything is definitely going to heat up.

I liked Grier and Isaac and at one point I thought he was going to die and maybe turn up on Jim's team. I 'm glad they get their happily ever after. I did guess that Daniel's ghost would disappear at the end of the book. I guess the first book slowly set the stage for what will happen but this one was much better! Despite the gruesome stuff.
