Yes, I agree. I didn't intend to nominate all three, but I hedged my bets in case one of the last two didn't qualify as weird fiction.
Also, I meant to say that, even though I have those books, I haven't read them yet, so this would give me a great reason to do just that.

1) The Night Comes On by Steve Duffy. A wonderful collection of weird fiction short stories of a more literary as opposed to genre flavor (1998). One of the stories is titled "The Story of a Malediction." I have loved that word ever since reading in high school A.P English class John Donne's poem "A Valediction Forbidding Mourning," still one of my all-time favorites. Wait a minute! That's not the same word, is it? Oh well, close enough.
2) Porn & Revolution in the Peaceable Kingdom by Micaela Morrissette. This novella (?) might be too weird for half of us; still, it's unusual enough that I'm willing to give it a go. Don't follow the GoodRead's link to the book. That just leads to random porn. It is sold on Kindle for 99 cents. I just picked it up. Place the title in quotation marks on Amazon and search, or here's the correct link:
It's past the middle of August! I will give other members one more day, Saturday, August 19, to nominate up to two book. Then I must close them nominations and run the poll.
