Arriving in the wilderness of London and in need of lodgings, Dr John Watson finds himself living at 221b Baker Street with one Sherlock Holmes. When a corpse is discovered in a derelict house Watston, fascinated by his brilliant, eccentric companion, is soon drawn into Holmes' investigations. There's no sign of a struggle, no wounds on the body, yet scrawled in blood across the walls is the word RACHE - revenge. Watson is baffled but for Holmes the game is afoot...

I found it interesting how he deducted all of the information on the murder from its environment traces. (hide spoiler)]

Part 2, Tobias Greyson Shows What He Can Do - A Flight for Life
(view spoiler)[I found Sherlock's deduction on finding the killer very interesting and I wasn't expecting him to handcuff the cab driver and for him to the killer.
I'm a little more confused on why we're stuck with mormons now ? I'm listeing to this as an audiobook and maybe I missed the connection between the two ? I do hope that the man manages to save himself and his daugther from being prosecuted by the mormons. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I wasn't too impressed by this ? I did like the first part and found out that the mormon backstory belongs to the past of the murderer from the first part but was still very awkward.. I didn't like the last 50 % basically. (hide spoiler)]

This is interesting so far. I had no idea the book would be from Watson's point of view so that's neat. It's so cool how Sherlock is able to make all these deductions with very little to go on.

So I definitely think Holmes is just placating Gregson as I don't think the son did it. Plus with the secretary dead now too, it seems even more unlikely. I still think it's really neat how Holms deduces all this information.

I wasn't expecting the killer to be the cabbie, I wonder how Sherlock worked that out. I'm extremely confused about why we're following Mormons now? The name Stangerson is the name of the secretary that was killed so this is connected somehow.

Ok I just don't care in the slightest about this whole Mormon section. I get that we're getting background on the guys who died and the man who killed them but I just do not care. The ending though once we go back to Holmes and the others was good. I would have given this 4 stars if the Mormon section wasn't in the book but I have to lower it to 3 since I didn't like that section.
