Review:
I really don't know what I'm expecting from these books, but the fact that I'm hooked and I can't give them up I'm just rolling with it. I don't want to spoil anything since this is the third in a series, but I feel a little bit better about the author's writing of Oleander. At first it was very back and forth, a lot of acting out of character. I think there was a better handle in this book on who exactly Oleander is. The book ended on a cliff hanger so of course I will be continuing the series as soon as I can.

It's getting close to the end!

Book: Sleep No More by Seanan McGuire
Pages: 368
Date Read: 22 Nov
Rating: 4.5 stars. What an awesome book. This series is one of the best examples of character growth going strong after 17 books. We get a lot of Toby time but not of the other characters. I especially missed May. The next book is the same but written from Tybalt's perspective - which I cannot imagine living through,

Review: Toby and her team travel to the Kingdom of Silences on a diplomatic visit, to meet with King Rhys and try to prevent the Kingdom of Silences from going to war against her Queen of the Mists. The good: Lots of Tybalt time, and just love seeing how Toby's relationships have evolved over the course of this series. Also getting a peek into another Court of Cats. The not so good: I think way too many characters have access to elf-shot... And lots and lots of blood. Poor Toby is always getting hurt, so that's not really a spoiler... Enjoy this series, but I didn't really enjoy the Silences. Listened with audio, so it may be the annoying voice used for the Queen pretender.

How it fits: Pallas cats and various other shifters. Found on SOS PNR shelf and Shelved 56 times “paranormal_romance
So I read a book I DNRed previously and it still was not that great. Wrong Wright and wrong shifter pack series. So I’m cleaning my brain with When He’s Torn.

Review:
I didn't find this one to be as good as the others. Given the cliffhanger of the last book, I feel like the resolution of that wasn't as good as it could have been. I don't know if I can tell exactly where everything is going, I mean the main goal of the series yes, but will it take so many more books, I'm not sure. There's something interesting about the background of these bonds, but I feel like the author just kind of mentions it but doesn't delve into it. There's much more of a focus on the sexual relationships and the building of the bonds, which duh kind of makes sense lol. I'll still be continuing with the series, but I might take a break. I don't want to dislike the series and force myself to finish.

Review: So I have been looking forward to this one. Bailey has always seemed to be one of the craziest, unbalanced shifters in this series. She is a Mamba snake shifter and has always had a sadistic side to her vengeance. This is an adversary to lovers type relationship with the grumpy Pallas cat shifter enforcer Deke. So as she is messing with him, as he is going through a spell of "touch hunger", it turns into attraction and she agrees to a friends with benefits during this period. The good: I think Bailey and her gal pals are a hoot, they are always so crazy together. The "family" that Bailey has around her is also very accepting and supportive. Also like the slow burn from attraction to affection as they get closer. The not so good: The mystery plot and past relationships storyline just didn't feel very developed, but was very back burner to the romance. Bailey has always been one of those kick butt heroines that doesn't need anyone to protect her or save her, she can take care of herself all on her own. She is also one of those creepy, cringey it is funny kind of characters, which is very Shelly Laurenston to me. I am a big SL fan... Listened to in audio, and the narration has always been good with this series.

Halloween will only be an option if we get the Kindness to Animals stamp first.

I think there are humorous moments in a lot of books The JD Robb In Death series always humor in between the hunt for the killer. And Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels series. I have a sweatshirt with “Here Kitty, Kitty from Kate taunting the Beast Lord of a thousand shifters. Or his moments of “are you done ass kicker? Or “we won’t tell mom. Or the New Wilmington series with her overkill and guts falling from the sky. 🤣

Beware the kraken!!! LOL

I'm off to hunt for a book.

They are all caught up and the only team to have 7 stamps, so they are probably going to finish before Wednesday. Still planning to read along with my Alice pick...

I see, yeah I didn't look at what they had done already. It has been very fun though! I may skip this shelf then as I am struggling really hard to find something that fits it.

Review: This is a new to me author and series. Alice Worth is a mage that faked her death to escape her grandfather's cabal, a crime syndicate and he is a very strong and evil mage. She has completely re-invented herself, had plastic surgery to completely change her appearance and has spent the last couple of years establishing her new life as far away as possible. She is working as investigator and often contracted by the vampires. She takes on a case of a young lady that has inherited her grandmother's estate with some pretty heavy magical wards. What was she hiding? The good: Always enjoy good kick-butt heroines and this new series didn't disappoint. Also liked her new sexy wolf alpha and ghostly sidekick. The not so good: Never a big fan of all the violence that these tough female characters always seem to sustain. There was not shortage of those moments in this book. Enjoyed the audio version and since this is an older series, I am going to binge the series.

Book: The Innocent Sleep by Seanan McGuire
Pages: 368
Date Read: 30 Nov
Rating: 4 stars. It was interesting too read a book from Tybalt's perspective with all the mundane matters. It showed how the people not caught in the enchantment suffered. But, I'm not sure it warranted an entire book though it read very fast.
How it Fits: Tybalt is a cat shifter. MPG Urban Fantasy

Review:
I feel like there was a lot of build up to this particular moment, and I don't know that I am completely satisfied with the resolution. The continued development and progress of the characters is what holds my interest much more than the overall conflict from this book. I am waffling on my rating as well, I almost want to give it 3 stars. I will still be continuing the series, as I'm still interested in how it will all go.
