Some introductory questions:
1) Have you read Red, White & Royal Blue written by the same author?
2) What expectations do you have for this book? Anything specific based upon the title or cover image?
3) Are you reading this book for the express purpose of fulfilling this specific Popsugar prompt? Or was it already on your TBR listing?

1) Have you read Red, White & Royal Blue written by the same author?
I did. And I loved it! It was the June 2023 Popsugar Monthly Group Read, for which I reread it. And I might reread it again in the future. It was pure enjoyment for me.
2) What expectations do you have for this book? Anything specific based upon the title or cover image?
I guess the subway plays a large role and I am expecting it to be "romancy"... I suspect there may be one specific subway stop involved.
3) Are you reading this book for the express purpose of fulfilling this specific Popsugar prompt? Or was it already on your TBR listing?
It was on my TBR listing, but didn't intend to necessarily read it now. But I decided to read it for the monthly group read.

Or you could simply make comments and/or answer questions based upon your memory! Glad you enjoyed it!

2. Because I am a super sleuth, I deduct that it is about women and trains. Good, aren't I?
3. I am reading it for the sole purpose of filling this prompt. It was on Kindle Unlimited, which helped my decision making.

-An over-the-top absurd but fun premise.
-A bisexual protagonist whose bisexuality is not threatened by a monogamous HEA.
-Loss of a parent or parental figure.
-Found family.

I have and I liked it! Haven't seen the movie they made of it yet though. I also have The Pairing on hold from Libby- but probably won't get to that until next year

I've heard there's a time travel element, but that's about it

Nope, already took care of that prompt. This book has been on my radar for a while, so this seems like a good excuse to pick it up.
Unfortunately I haven't been reading as quickly as normal, so it's only 50/50 that I'll finish this before the month is up. Still have a few prompts to fill for the challenge that I want to knock out this month!
Oh, my! This book proved to be so much more than the "romance" I was expecting!
Back for discussion prompts later this evening! :)

No problem! I'm typically keeping this up another 1-2 weeks anyway!

I fell down on facilitating this discussion.

I truly enjoyed this book. I loved the relationships and the quirky characters!
Any favorite parts?
I loved the way August would go to the train at night-time to be with Jane.
Anything that you felt was beyond your ability to "suspend your disbelief"?
I actually had no trouble believing everything. I did think it quite interesting that Jane somehow managed to telephone in a song request to the radio station while she was missing... It was, IMO, a nice touch of detail that helped create suspense and made me wonder even more where she was...

Every person reads at a different pace, so please use spoiler tags if you are sharing any plot-related surprises. This allows others to decide whether this information might reveal surprising information they have not yet read. It can also be helpful to other readers if you post the location within the book noting your progress (chapter and/or page number). That way, if someone else has read that far they can go ahead and open the spoiler, but if not, they'll know to skip it for now and return later...
