April showers bring . . . many more chances to curl up inside with a good book. Here are your mini challenges for April.

As always, you may use books from any genre for this challenge. You may only use a book once for this challenge, but may use it for other challenges. Also, you do not have to choose your books ahead. If you do choose ahead, you can change your list at any time.

1. April 6 is Plan Your Day: Read a book that has a graveyard or tombstone(s) on the cover, or with a scene set at a cemetery.

2. April 10 is National Siblings Day: Read a book with siblings in it.

3. April 13 is Scrabble Day: Read a book by an author who uses initials in his/her name (e.g.: E.L. Doctorow, E.L. Konigsburg, E.J. Copperman, Frank L. Baum, J.D. Robb)

4. April 14 is Look up at the Sky Day, and April 22 is the 45th anniversary of Earth Day: Read a book with a blue cover (to represent Earth, sky and water).

5. April 26 is Hug an Australian Day: Read a book set in Australia, or written by an Australian.

Have fun!

Kimberly | 678 comments If anyone is looking for a book with a scene that takes place in a cemetery... I recommend the Scrapbooking Mysteries by Laura Childs. I've read through book 6 so far, and pretty much every one has at least 1 scene at a cemetery. ;) :) Yeah, I only recently discovered this series and have been working through it. My TBR pile is big, and keeps getting bigger. :) Especially after joining this wonderful group! :)

I enjoyed it. It's not a long book and seemed to have lots of action throughout. It is historical (1920's Australia) and I know some people don't like historical too much but I thought it was a lot of fun.

message 32: by Valerie (new)

Valerie | 440 comments Working on my last one, and hoping I enjoy it. Did not like my last one. But, it was NOT a cozy mystery. It was supposedly a modern fairy tale, but it was really pedantic, and overly descriptive. Often I felt that Eucalyptus could have been better served as a short story.

But, it could be just me, and how I like books.

Reading the last of mine...Death on a Deadline. New author, and series for me. Hope it is enjoyable.

It wasn't over the top or bang on the head kind. More like it was just part of the character's personality. It was an interesting change.
