Senator Lightfeather’s murdered girlfriend was preganant. Did you have any initial suspicions about him as her killer?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2911 comments I didn't think he killed her. I didn't think he would have called Nick and Sam if he had done it.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1191 comments No, I didn't think he had killed her, although he seemed to think that Sam would give him a break of some sort. He really didn't know her, did he?

Robin (robinmy) | 2413 comments I never thought that the Senator killed his girlfriend.

You're right, Charlene. He seemed to be in love with her, but he really didn't know her.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1763 comments I didn't think he did it either. He would not have called the cops if he had. He had plausible deniability.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1191 comments Anita, your comment about the senator not really knowing his lover got me to thinking.

It was almost funny that he did not have a clue about what made Sam tick (!); and then his wife's reaction proved the point that the guy didn't know much about any women.

I think he actually believed that she would just forgive him and welcome him with open arms. My prediction, should he have remained in office, is that he would continue to live in his office every day of the year.

This is an excellent point, Charlene
He did not understand women at all.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2911 comments I agree. He didn't know his lover for sure and if he thought Sam would cut him any slack, he certainly didn't know her. If he expected his wife to forgive him, he is absolutely clueless.

I never suspected him for all the reasons you state. This guy was most certainly clueless about women so thanks for raising that point, Charlene. Kudos to his wife for kicking him to the curb.
