This is our general discussion thread for the Spring Readathon. The readathon will run from 12:01 a.m. on April 20th to 11:59 p.m. on April 26th. You can use this thread for discussions, motivation, questions, or anything else that you need for the Readathon. Happy reading!

I signed up and will be doing the readathon all month long like I usually do.

Definitely will try fit in as many books as I can for this!

I'm in. Did the one day national readathon and not sure how I will make it over a week, but we'll see! I usually read about 1-2 books a week, so for the challenge I'm going to try to complete 3.

It's very exciting to see how many people are in! Can't wait for this to start.

I am in but I don't have a strategy either. I will look through my want to read bookshelf and think about what I will be reading. Can't wait I have it marked on the calendar.

The countdown to the readathon is on - there's less than a week to go until we have 7 whole days of reading fun!

So Kassandra, where is hubby taking you for this readathon? I'd be counting down too! :D LOL

Sadly Melissa, I will be on my own for this one but hopefully that will mean no distractions. Lots of time to read!

I'm jumping on the Spring Readathon Train nearly last Minute. I don't know what I'm going to read, but I already know that I'll take it slow this time as I have to study a lot with final exams coming up. But I'm sure there will be some time to do some reading. My main goal will be to finish the book(s) that are waiting on my currently reading shelf :)

Glad you're joining us Alessandra! It sounds like you have a great goal for it - I'm looking forward to hearing all about it.

I'm not sure how much reading I'll get done, but I can't wait for that buzz of all of us reading together!

Wow, I'm so impressed with the goals that everyone is setting. I'm not sure how much I'm going to go for but I'm looking forward to trying to get through at least one.

Going to try and get one done for my decade challenge Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada and one from my rainbow challenge The Mystery of the Blue Train by Agatha Christie .

Just a couple of hours to go for me until midnight and the start of the readathon! I'm going to try to stay up to read a few pages, but it's been a tiring weekend so I may not make it.

I helped a friend move today so I won't be staying up til midnight to ring in the readathon. But tomorrow I'll be counting my pages!

Just started a couple pages of The Outlander. I have to work but will keep you posted how far I get.

Renee, I think I'm going to start with The Enchanted April. I know that you and Sandy enjoyed this one last year and will work with the Crazy Calendar Challenge. So much fun! I have to wait 2 1/2 hours before I can begin...

Oh, yes, a favorite! I've actually read it twice and viewed the film countless times. Can't wait to hear what you think.

My first goal is to finish Exil in Sjanghai I already read some pages after midnight so this readathon has started for me! Good luck everyone!

I'm hoping this readathon will get me back into reading again. I've hardly read anything this month (unless you count an unhealthy amount of fanfiction...)

It's a lovely day outside, for once here in England, so I'm going to sit out in the garden and try make further headway with North and South.

It's great to see so many people starting already!

Well as predicted I fell asleep long before midnight but I'm bringing my book with me to work today so I can read through lunch.

Holly, a day reading in the garden sounds perfect - I hope it gets you back into the reading mood.

Originally didn't think I would be awake long enough to start right at midnight, but proud to say I actually did.

Hopefully between some quiet time this evening and my long bus rides to work I can finish Party of One tonight and get started on another book (or two).

My calendar alarm on my cell phone went off at exactly midnight. I was awake so I read 2 chapters of Dragonwyck by Anya Seton.

I started reading The Testing at midnight and I just finished the rest of it today. Good Luck everybody with the readathon challenge!!

I've been finishing up Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I think I'll read The Slippery Slope by Lemony Snicket next.

My goal is just to get as far done with Gone With the Wind as I can. I was at page 250 before 12am today. Let's see how far I get.

I wasn't sure I would be able to get any reading in today but I caught a lucky break. First day reading progress came in at 148 pages! I hope to continue so I can catch up on my # of books read - my widget says I'm 7 behind schedule so there is lots to catch up on.

I really need to kick my fanfiction reading habit. It's not helping this readathon whatsoever! :P

Reading is reading - I'm sure fan fiction can be counted :)

I actually made it to midnight as well and have gotten in some reading/listening since then. I'm bouncing between Eminent Victorians, Splintered, Lord Arthur Savile's Crime and Other Stories, and The Good-Natured Man: A Comedy.

That's an insane amount of books, Renee! I don't know how you do it!

Renee, I've swiped a few of your titles off your list and added them to my ever growing to-read pile. :D

Has anyone read Dorothy Must Die? I borrowed that one this week and am looking for some opinions on whether its a good read or not.

Wanted to read a quick beach book, so I was 100 pages into Ten Beach Road and finished it today. That would put me at 312 between Monday and today. Tonight or tomorrow I will start Wild.
