I'm starting book one after I finish my CR so should be moving onto book 2 the same time as you.
Part 4
switching from the audio to reading was interesting as my audiobook had chapter numbers and this does not.

I actually finished this the other day but was too brain dead to comment and now I'm like noo why did I do this to myself? 😂🤦🏻♀

I'm struggling with this one. I groaned at the first Ezra Six chapter. I don't care about these people I want our six and also Gideon.
Parts 1-2

I've had the second book with me for like a week and haven't had time to dive into it yet. I'm hoping it's slow enough at work that I can at least crack open the book and read a few pages. If not, I will most likely be reading it this weekend. Sorry for being so behind on this one. It's a bit harder for me to focus on a physical book during the week nowadays.
I am always behind on buddy reads so it's a nice change not to be the last one for once (not that I started this one on time lol).
LOL, it looked like I was finally going to be caught up this week (I only had two BR's left for March), but nope, my boss gave me some projects, and I haven't read a thing since Monday.

The same thing happened to me the beginning of April I was so close then work kicked my ass. It's really annoying that we can't just read all the time lol

Parts 3-4
Taking a break from this helped, I'm enjoying it again.

Yeah, it's interesting that they know something is off without her too. I'm hoping they figure it all out and save her soon.

Yeah, her being in the forum makes way more sense now!

Honestly, she was pissed at what he did to her and what she had to do to get back into her time. So, he definitely deserved it all. Plus, he wanted to kill her, so yeah.

Omg right. Still not clear on this (but very possible I just missed it.)

Yeah totally. Book one I didn't see Nico Gideon at all, it was all Nico Libby.

Oh yeah (view spoiler) made complete sense. I meant I lost with the overall story. The only one I feel like I fully understood was Libby's. If I tried to summarize what happened in this book for everyone else and why it would be a giant question mark. But I was so out of it when I was listening to it that I don't know if it was just because of that, or if parts of the book just didn't make sense. Likely a bit of both.

Enter the latest round of six: Libby Rhodes and Nico de Varona, unwilling halves of an unfathomable whole, who exert uncanny control over every element of physicality. Reina Mori, a naturalist, who can intuit the language of life itself. Parisa Kamali, a telepath who can traverse the depths of the subconscious, navigating worlds inside the human mind. Callum Nova, an empath easily mistaken for a manipulative illusionist, who can influence the intimate workings of a person’s inner self. Finally, there is Tristan Caine, who can see through illusions to a new structure of reality—an ability so rare that neither he nor his peers can fully grasp its implications.
When the candidates are recruited by the mysterious Atlas Blakely, they are told they will have one year to qualify for initiation, during which time they will be permitted preliminary access to the Society’s archives and judged based on their contributions to various subjects of impossibility: time and space, luck and thought, life and death. Five, they are told, will be initiated. One will be eliminated. The six potential initiates will fight to survive the next year of their lives, and if they can prove themselves to be the best among their rivals, most of them will.
