Yes, it's a trillion times better than this crap movie ;)

Jessica | 225 comments It's funny cause I LOVED this book, but I thought the movie was pretty okay. I mean, it could have been better, yes, but no adaption is perfect.
I hope you enjoy it WAY more than the movie then :D

Biana I really did enjoy the book. It was my first Orson Scott Card and i'm not sure i will read more...but it was fun.

I also saw the movie...book read, then movie...the only way to do it. I was disappointed in the movie (come on, like we expected differently?). I think the main trouble was one of age. You just can't have an actor as young as Ender in the book...and you can't show the number of years that were involved in making Ender into the salvation of his people. It seemed like it took a year or less. So glad I read the book!

Mariah (gingersnap8314) I saw this week, sighed, and turned to my husband. "What book is it that you always want me to read and I haven't yet?" He grinned at me and without a pause said excitedly, "Ender's Game!"
So that is how I ended up reading this. I just started. I have hope that I will like it but it really isn't what I normally go for when I am looking for a book to read. I never saw the movie either so I have no expectations, good or bad, from that at least. Honestly, I am a little excited to read it simply because of how excited my husband got. It's one of his favorites. =)

Mariah (gingersnap8314) I just finished the book. Meh covers it pretty well for me. Not awful, but not good. Second Orson Scott Card for me and I'm thinking I really don't like his writing style. It doesn't speak to me. So I don't think I'll be reading more of his stuff. Just not my cup of tea.

The end pulled at my heart strings a little but it felt so rushed that I didn't get to feel much for long.

JackAttack Much better than what I was expecting and MUCH MUCH better than the movie. Book was wonderfully detailed and easy to follow (unlike the movie). Don't let the movie scare you away! Wish I would have read this sooner :)
