Hi, everyone! This is the thread for the "Commit to one book monthly" challenge. In this thread, post one book you intend to read in May, so everyone else can see your pick. When you finish reading it, we'd love for you to come back and post your opinion. I expect everyone's TBRs to suffer because of this monthly reading challenge, but I'm prepared to make that sacrifice. Are you? :-D

I think I'm going to read To Walk in the Way of Lions To Walk in the Way of Lions (Upper Kingdom, #2) by H. Leighton Dickson by H. Leighton Dickson, the 2nd book in the Tails of the Upper Kingdom. It's about time I got back to it.

I'm going to read All We Were Promised by Ashton Lattimore which I just won in a giveaway. I should probably read it and post a reaction sooner rather than later.

Linda Ellerbee, huh? Interesting!!

Jackie | 1061 comments The sad thing is that I purchased this book on March 11, 2003 for my niece and Linda Ellerbee added a personal message to my niece, before she autographed the book. (My niece now has 2 boys so I plan to read this book before I give it to her). I felt terrible when I found this book and realized I never gave it to my niece.

I have a couple of those around here too -- one, I'm not even sure I remember who I was supposed to send it to! When I was in college, the only channel we got on the TV was the one that had the late night news program where Linda Ellerbee was one of the anchors. Blast from the past!

Reading All We Were Promised by Ashton Lattimore today. So far very engaging. The dynamic forced on Charlotte and her father by their situation creates an interesting relationship - he has to look after his daughter but behave like she's his servant.
