RULES
�� Members will be broken out into up to 3-5 separate teams (or go solo) before the start date (May 1st). You will work together to complete a series of tasks together and complete as many of them as you wish.
�� Books must be read and reviewed from May 1st through June 30th. Any books or audiobooks started before May 1st or finished after June 30th will not count.
�� If you read an Audiobook version of a book convert the hours to pages using this site: or use the print equivalent on ŷ������.
�� Graphic/Manga novels are accepted but will only count for half of the listed page count. They have to be on the ŷ������ database. (view spoiler)
�� You must post at least 3 status updates OR a review. It doesn't have to be super detailed but try to not just say "this was good" for the book to count.
�� For prompts: if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit, and it will not count.
�� Minimum Lengths:
�� Books: 150 pages
�� Graphic Novels: 200 pages (halved=100 pages)
�� Audiobooks: 150 pages (use GR print equivalent length)

POINT SYSTEM
+1 point for every book that has been read and reviewed that correlates with a category
+2 points for participating in a buddy read (must take place in the group)
+3 for one completed category
+4 points for reading/participating in a group read (must take place in the group)
+5 points for every 1,000 pages read

Note 1: Mods keep track of all points in a shared Google Sheets spread to keep everything as organized as possible.
Note 2: You must actively participate in a buddy or group read for the points to count. Lack of participation means no points! This means commenting your updates in the designated thread for that book.

Masquerade
1. Read a book where a main character pretends to be someone else
2. Read a book with a dress on the cover
3. Read a book that was translated
4. Read an own-voices book
5. Read a book that has a redesigned cover

Decades Dance
1. Read a book set in the 20th century (the 1900s)
2. Read the first book listed when you sort your TBR by date added, descending
3. Read a book with a blue cover
4. Read a book written by an author who has died
5. Read a historical fiction book

Goth Prom
1. Read a paranormal romance
2. Read a book set or published in the 1800s
3. Read a banned book
4. Read a book with a black cover
5. Read a book written by a POC author

Enchanted Forest
1. Read a fairytale retelling
2. Read a book about royalty
3. Read a book written by an author from a country you’ve never been to
4. Read a book about magic
5. Read a book with a tree on the cover

Luxe
1. Read a book with a 4.5 or higher average GR rating
2. Read a self-published book
3. Read a science fiction book
4. Read a book written by an LGBTQ+ author
5. Read a book with gold in the title (the word or the color)

Carnival
1. Read a book written by an author from Central or South America
2. Read a book with a red cover
3. Read a book about the performing arts
4. Read a graphic novel
5. Read a book in a series longer than 3 books

Hey team, excited for the party to get started!

Hi team Life O'Party!
I have a book (or two) ready to read for each of the categories with the exception of Decades Dance #4 (written by an author who has died) and Carnival #1 (written by an author from Central or South America), and even those I have some possible options (which I will look into for June). I have a few Buddy reads as well as at least one of the Group reads for May. Hoping to give our team a real boost...

Impressive Leslie! Maybe we can find a BR for Carnival #1 in June. I haven't decided on that one either. I have two that are close, Trinidad and Mexico, if it were only worded slightly different.

I haven't quite managed to find a book for every prompt yet but that will be my goal. I'm also starting off with a couple of Buddy Reads and have one of the Groups Reads on hold at the library. Hoping it comes through in time. I have a ridiculous 17 hour flight tonight so hoping to get a strong start.
