Maryann Taylor | 44 comments Heather B. Moore (one of my FAVORITES--(historical intermixed with some fiction, relationships); Julie Klassen---(clean romance with great characters and storylines); Camron Wright---(dont' miss The Rent Collector by him, based on true account); Donna VanLiere--(a series of Christmas books and also others--very touching, based on relationships and goodness), Richard Paul Evans---(great plots and character interactions). Diane Mott Davidson--(One of the best mystery writers about Goldy, the caterer, includes recipes); These are not just good writers--they are excellent.

Teresa Morehouse | 23 comments I second this list!

Reah N. (username613) | 2 comments More clean authors to consider:
Joanna Barker (witty historical romances)
Sarah M. Eden (clean/Christian historical romances)
Shari L. Tapscott (mostly fantasy romances)

I've only ever read Heather B. Moore's novels, and they're great.

I'll also add that the one novel I read from Julie Klassen (The Silent Governess) had many suggestive comments and scenes where men took advantage of women to the point where I'm not sure I consider it completely clean

Sonja | 12 comments Tried a Dianna Mott Davidson, too much language... I guess my idea of clean is different...

I love Donna VanLiere, too. I have enjoyed Francine Rivers, but she seems to enjoy writing about sexual sin a bit too much. She keeps repeating it in her books, and it's getting stale for me.

Julianne Donaldson!!! Edenbrooke is my favorite clean historical of the year so far! I just acquired Blackmoore but haven't started it. Have you read them both? So sad she hasn't written more books.

Jan I have really been enjoying Robert Whitlow lately.

Most of you have probably already read her books, but Jan Karon's Mitford series is a favorite of mine. Totally clean. Totally delightful. And there are 14 books!
