🤣 I just need visual choices because sci fi isn't my go-to right now. I'm not really sure what my go-to is these days but I've strayed from romance a lot since Bastien was born. More into mystery and thrillers right now, I think! So seeing what I have for sci fi is helpful!

I totally get it. I'm not big on romance. I used to be really big into historical fiction. I still like it, but all I really want to read is horror. lol

I'm glad you're excited! You have some good ones lined up for sure.

I don't know specifically which books I'll read, but according to my shelves I have 113 unread sci fi books. So, lots of options! Maybe I'll power through the last bit of the Animorphs series. Or finally get around to Dune Messiah!
Books previously started and finished this month:

I actually have The Sparrow on a stack for another reading challenge. Maybe I'll give it a read if I have time. I've been wanting to read it for ages!

I will be reading this one all month, as it's the science fiction selection for June for my True Book Talk group.
Still deciding what else I'll pick up.

I actually just finished this one. A short read so I read it within a day. It's classic horror, but it also has elements of science fiction. Not bad. I gave it four stars, but would have given it 3.5, if it were possible.

Well, that did not at all go as planned. I had a bout of insomnia last night so I didn't go to sleep until 8:00 am. Yes, two hours before go time. So when the alarm went off, guess who didn't get up? Ugh. Just started reading
at 2:00 pm.
Hopefully I can at least finish it before this 24 hours is up.

Extend yours until 24 hours after you started? I see ppl doing that often in other Readathons. Today I've been reading while simultaneously watching 2 hard-fought WNBA games....

which I consider science fiction because it's post apocalyptic (sort of) and since there is a whole other world inside the earth...so, yeah.
Also almost finished with

But I'm really into my science fiction right now so I'm going to continue as #SciFiSummer!

I finished All the Seas of the World by Guy Gavriel Kay, which I'd been reading for months. I also finished Halloween Night by R.L. Stine, which I started in May.
I started and finished Gate of Ivrel by C.J. Cherryh, though that's just the first of three books in one volume that I'll be reading for a while yet! I also started and finished the audiobook of All Systems Red by Martha Wells.
I started, but have not yet finished, Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop by Hwang Bo-Reum, which I am really enjoying.
Not bad for the busiest/most stressful month of the year! I ended up with a combo of fantasy, horror, sci fi, and realistic fiction.
